Poll: Mass Effect 2 not getting that much attention?

When Mass Effect came out, there was a lot of hype to live up to and in my eyes did a fantastic job of living up to it. Mass Effect is still my favorite RPG out there, right next to other Bioware titles.

If I have just been living in a cave for the past 1-4 months feel free to tell me, but I have heard little to nothing in regards to hype for this game and because I was such a huge fan of the 1st one that just blows my mind. I'm guessing it would shock a majority of people to know that Mass Effect 2 comes out in less than 10 days.

There are a lot of huge games in my eyes coming out within the next 2 months with God of war 3, Heavy Rain, ME2, Bioshock2, Splinter Cell Conviction, and odds are there's a few more that I am forgetting about but....Is ME2 going under the radar?

Well, I've seen a small amount of hype for it, but most of the people who liked the original are the type who don't create hype, just quietly buy the game.

I still prefer "Jade Empire" over any other Bioware game.

But Mass Effect is still good.

There are proably plenty of places where it the hype is apparent. It's just not as easily noticed when it is spread across the web.

Have yet to play Mass Effect, and the advert in the UK is pretty shit, which puts me off considering it.

Pretty much this, which is probably why no one seems to be caring. They're making it seem like another generic shooter.

But those who played the first know what its about, and will most likely get the second.

No. I didn't like the first, so I won't bother with this one.

And, yes, I have noticed that there is a massive lack of hype for this.

Perhaps it has something to do with the cover.

Jade Empire really? Huh that was my least favorite. Mass effect > Dragon Age Origins > Kotor1 > Kotor2 > Never winter nights2 > Never winter nights1 > Jade Empire > Sonic Dark chronicles for me

I don't think there's very much hype because everyone is already going to buy it. It seems to be topping every "Most Anticipated Game of 2010" list, even though it really does seem to be low-key at the moment.

It's hyped enough. One should never over-hype anything. It always end up bad. People start to hate it for no reason.
