I don't know which to pre-order, i still have my birthday money from earlier this month. I'm allowed to buy one game and the rest has to be put in my bank account. I don't know which to buy though, i'l probably get the other one i don't get eventually but still... there's only 11 days between them.

Help me choose! I've got both of the originals so i want them both :(

I dunno... ME2 puts a lot of emphasis on being darker and edgier, Bioshock 2 just seems like unnessecary sequel. I'd say Mass Effect, but i have strong doubts about both.

Definitely Mass Effect 2.

BioShock is one of the few games that really didn't need a sequel and it stinks of money making. Also the idea of playing as a Big Daddy for the whole game seems a bit of a stock idea thrown together in 5 minutes.

Im willing to give it a try but it just looks like fail.

I'd go with Mass Effect 2. Actually, I did go with ME2, I pre-ordered it today.

Bioshock 2 seems like a rental in my opinion. It's the sort of game you finish rather quickly and don't bother with again. I know that they have multiplayer but it seems kind of lame in my opinion and there are many other strong multiplayer titles out already. Mass Effect 2 is the game you'll sink a lot of hours into with multiple playthroughs and remember that it continues from the original while Bioshock 2 doesn't, don't you want to see what happens to Shepherd, the Normandy, your crew and the universe?

Since you like both, your choice can be based on pound for pound play value, for example which will give you either more hours in one playthrough or more replay value.
When I have choices like this I choose which of the two games will keep me going till I can get the other, iygwim? My guess therefore would still be ME2 as the decisions you make and the data you carry over will change your experience :)

Pretty much this, Bioshock 2 just seems unnecessary.

Bioshock 2 all the way - seriously, there are a lot of sequels which are "unnecessary", so using that as an argument against it is stupid. Was Fallout 2 OR 3 "necessary"? Was Uncharted 2 "necessary"? No, but they all turned out to be awesome games. I think Bioshock 2 is going to be the same.

I'd say Mass Effect 2. I'm interested in both, but I'd get Mass Effect 2 first. Bioshock 2 is an odd thing, with the original leaving no real plot threads that would give it reason to have a sequel. On the other hand, Mass Effect 2 not only could have a sequel, it almost demanded it. Not to mention, Mass Effect had, in my opinion, the better story. Also, while both games gave you the opportunity to explore their respective worlds, Mass Effect did a much better job of it. In Mass Effect, there were all sorts of areas you could stumble upon just by screwing around. There were also quests which made to world feel bigger than what I was seeing, and even the smallest things in the game will come back in the sequel, which is pretty amazing. By contrast, Bioshock only allowed you to explore the main story areas, no other parts of rapture, and from what I've seen, the sequel won't change that. Not that there was anything wrong with the original Bioshock. I liked both, but preferred Mass Effect, so I'm more excited for Mass Effect's sequel.

I suppose it comes down to one thing: which one of the original games did you prefer? Pick the sequel to that one.

Bioshock 2, because i didn't really like the original Mass Effect. Maybe Mass Effect 2 would be better. Until then, i think i'll probably enjoy Bioshock 2 more.

Bioshock 2

Seriously how can anyone not get tired of Bioware games, they make them using the same pattern for a decade now.

I'm doing BioShock 2 Limited Edition because I have 100 dollars I want to throw away on a game I probably won't like with an art book that I probably won't read.

You know I liked Mass Effect but right now I'm stuck at a part and I don't know why because I'm normally good with combat but I ran out of those health things so I can't heal and my teammates keep dying and there's some turrets that I can't get past and blah blah blah... I'm probably going to get Mass Effect 2 after the price goes down.

But for you, I would say Mass Effect 2. I mean, your avatar is a picture of it...

Difficult questions are difficult~

Seriously, take a coin, flip it, know what to buy.

Actually, people who ask stuff like this usually already know what they want more.
