While storylinewise the story of Bioshock reached closesure, I think a sequel might be able to pull out a more original storyline than the first one since they can't use the system shock 2 story patternReep said:Pretty much this, Bioshock 2 just seems unnecessary.Editos said:Definitely Mass Effect 2.
BioShock is one of the few games that really didn't need a sequel and it stinks of money making. Also the idea of playing as a Big Daddy for the whole game seems a bit of a stock idea thrown together in 5 minutes.
Im willing to give it a try but it just looks like fail.
You really shouldn't be deterred from buying Bioshock 1, it's an excellent game; I bought it twice.(limited edition and over xbox live for 30 bucks. The thing really is that there are two groups of gamers, those who like RPG's and shooter fans. Though there is some overlap between the two factions, like me, most of those on these two sides hate each other. Nothing against either side, we're all different. In short, even if you don't think it warranted a sequel, get the original Bioshock. It's a great game that's fun, action-packed, and has a good, if a little tough to follow near the end, story.imahobbit4062 said:Wow, most people in this thread have turned me off buying the Original Bioshock..
I bought it three times. Twice on 360 and then again on my new PC. Gotta love the love.wooty said:Definately going for Bioshock first personally, I enjoyed the first one so much that I even bought it again.
The same reason people can still play the same pair of disembodied hands and arms walking around corridors shooting things in Bioshock, system shock, doom, team fortress, left 4 dead, quake, call of duty, medal of honour, killzone, timesplitters, duke nukem, deus ex, call of juerez, shellshock, haze, half-life, portal, frontlines, ARMA, unreal tournament, halo, clive barkers jericho, battlefield, turok, red faction. I think I made my point.3nimac said:Bioshock 2
Seriously how can anyone not get tired of Bioware games, they make them using the same pattern for a decade now.
