Infiltrator, the reason their fun is just for this: you see them, they die. And like Yahtzee says in his review you rarely get ambushed at close range without them basically telling you where they are going to jump out of.

Vanguard is annoyingly difficult on Insanity before you get any upgrades (Damage reduction, etc.). But once you get some upgrades, it is a blast to play as.
But the class you play as all depends on your personal playstyle. If you want to play Gears of Two and Lynch, play as the Soldier. Want to be a sneaky sniper, play as Inflitrator. If you want to be a Tank, pick Sentinel. A jedi warrior, minus the lightsaber, Adept.
You should watch the class videos and decide which one is the best for you.

I've only played as a Vanguard so far, but I really enjoyed it. I've gotten myself killed more than once doing it, but using charge to essentially teleport right into the enemy's face before spraying them point-blank with my gun doesn't get old. Shockwave was also good, but I never really used pull.
If you're playing on insanity, I'd go Sentinel over Vanguard. The long range and cloak are much better than having to get close just to really deal some damage like you do with the Vanguard. That being said, if you're playing on an easier setting, feel free to try out Vanguard.
I find the Vanguard class very alluring for these reasons, and it's my class of choice, but I find myself having a lot more fun when I'm playing on my renegade infiltrator than with my original character, a paragon vanguard.Joey245 said:

I love the adept. Being able to control the battlefield with biotics is very useful. You can use your abilities easily to get enemies out of their coverspots, making it an ideal class to use on higher difficulties. I found it easier to leave the tech to other characters, since they're tech abilities insta-hit, instead of firing a projectile, that can hit walls. Besides, keeping Mordin and Tali with you is a lot better than having Jack with you. I hate Jack.
Vanguard. I literally can't play any other class, they all make the game a generic 3rd person shooter. Vanguard makes the game a chest pounding 40 hours of pure joy. It sounds odd, but they are even better on high difficulties (protected enemies don't go flying away from your shotgun blasts to the face).
Once you master the power of Charge, you can't play anything else.
So... Play all other classes, then Vanguard last so you don't ruin a chance to enjoy them!

Soldier is not in the poll so I choose that one as the best class,variety of weapons for every occasion.
i only have the demo of mass effect2 but i love the infiltrator class, being able to cloak, launch seeking flame shots, getting damage bonuses for hitting guys while cloaked, it's awesome
the class i don't like is the adept, i just think it sucks, most of it's abilities can be blocked by shields and they don't have much in the way of gun firepower to punch through those shields, just weak IMO

I personally think the Vanguard is the class that is the most fun to play. Running in SMG blazing tagging everybody within range, and using your charge to get your ass out when things get a little to hot. Fucking awesome.
I have bled the infiltrator and engineer classes for all they're worth in ME2. I like the infiltrator and engineer because both can take control of geth, and with the learned skill Dominate, it offers a load of offensive ability with little need to adapt to varying combat situations, provided one can get through the defenses first (especially on insane).

I was Soldier first time through for faceroll easiness, then I went Infiltrator for 2nd playthrough for some extra challenge, and by challenge, I mean every enemy drops from a single head-shot with the Anti-Material Rifle.
In played Infiltrator first. The M-92 Widow Sniper Rifle is instant death at any range.
Played Soldier. Its fun to slow down time, but I absolutely hate the sound of his gun. It doesn't sound beefy enough, too tinny.
