Poll: Mass Effect 3 Rage!!!!

I voted yes mostly because I don't care for Ashley's new look and I'm a little iffy about how few conversation options there were in the demo and I don't yet know if that's reflective of the actual game. Also the textures were a bit ick.

These are teeny tiny gripes though, ones I really had to think about, so I don't think it's really that big of a deal. If there was a neutral option, I would have picked that instead.

It was a demo, of a generated character(s) with no history or relation to a player. Even then I thought it wasn't bad, not amazing, game play was good, difficulties offered a challenge, graphics were slightly improved and Ashley had a new look, I liked it.

The demo made me want the game more, that weekend has been taken off work, I intend to complete it twice if not more in a short space of time.

Actually there's a couple of things:

1- that there aren't more than 2 teammates; they could have implemented the same system that FREEDOM FIGHTERS HAD, 1 button for positioning, 1 button for selecting NPCs.

2- DLC is still there, like if it was an uninvited and unwanted guest that crashes to a party.

Well, as i mentioned March Mayhem begins soon enough.

To put it into perspective of how intense the forums get during this period, the Mojang vs. Bioware voting thread last year ended up being over 120 pages of heated discussion between Bioware zealots claiming that Minecraft was (at the time) a 'program' and not a game, and Mojang fans pointing out that all Bioware had done that year was a port and Dragon Age 2 and did not deserve any kind of merit for it.

That thread also lasted a whole 2 weeks after the contest ended.

Also Mojang won, which did not please the Bioware fans in any small way.

I look forward to seeing what kind of spectacle you can raise in a few days when the first round begins.

Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, the fans are willing to deal with the faults to enjoy what's good about the games, rather than them being mindless idiots? Because I doubt it. People like you NEVER try and see it from the other side.

I personally thought the worst thing in the demo was captain Anderson's running animations. That and how the squadmate's movements just looked so... robotic in the earlier trailers.

Of all things, I don't like the spike in difficulty. I play games for story and experience, not to get my ass kicked.

I quite enjoyed the extra challenge but I imagine there'll be an easy mode for those who just want to enjoy it for the story - I think they said that Normal in ME3 was the same as Hardcore from ME2.

Not really, in all honesty. The demo seemed perfectly playable to me, and nothing about the story has alarm bells ringing.

You have to understand, story is normally my primary concern when it comes to games. I love the ME series for its story first and foremost; the fact that I enjoy the gameplay is just a pleasant bonus.

So yeah, nothing too upsetting here. James Vega doesn't concern me too much, at worst he'll be nondescript like Jacob. The showdown has me interested, the return of old characters has me excited, and I find the story-linked multiplayer an intriguing concept; awesome if it works out, ignored if it doesn't.

So yeah. All in all, pretty stoked for two weeks to hurry up and get out of the way.
