1. Female
2. Depends. Can completely forget about it for a few months or do it a few times a week.
3. Nope.
4. Never have been in one before!
5. Considering the fact that a lot of women seem to have trouble achieving orgasm, figuring it out early seems useful.
6. Usually it doesn't matter that much to me, unless I really want to do it and there's something preventing me from it. I tried not to do it at all when I was younger, all it did was make me feel guilty.
7. Too much might cause soreness, but there's nothing wrong with it otherwise.
8. Nowadays I finish a few times in a row instead of one, but that's about it.

1. I am of the Male variety.

2. About once a day, give or take.

3. Nope.

4. If I am dating somebody, I tend to do it considerably less.

5. It depends. It can help with stamina and whatnot.

6. If I haven't done it for a couple of days, I definitely find myself thinking about sex more often.

7. Tends of thousands of years of human society says that it's relatively healthy, or at least harmless. Of course, everything in moderation.

8. Yes, very much so. I know what I'm doing, and have more control, etc. Also, I used to be super conflicted about whether or not it was a good thing when I was younger; the American sex ed programs are kind of half-assed. Seriously, I never heard a word out of any of my health teachers' mouths regarding masturbation until I was in high school. Of course, by that point, I'd already had an extensive knowledge of the act and didn't need any sort of education on the topic.

Also, as a side note, I find it silly whenever anybody says that they never masturbate. Especially with guys, our bodies practically do it for us if we put it off for an extended period of time. As for women, there have been a whole bunch of studies which clearly show that; to put it bluntly; women are just as horny as men. Maybe in different ways for different reasons, but it doesn't necessarily matter which road you take as long as you reach the same destination.

Obviously there are those who suffer from medical conditions, or the side effects of certain medicines which severely limit one's sex drive, but I can't imagine that these situations are as common as the number of people who claim to never masturbate seems to indicate.

TL;DR, I answer questions and ***** about things.

My country's sex ed is about as bad as yours, then. I had had lessons on periods and only periods like 5 times before I even started having them, but no one even tried to explain what a clit WAS. I didn't even realize I'd achieved an orgasm before I read a book by this genealogist(bless her) because no one had ever bothered to TELL me you can have non-vaginal orgasms :/ Seriously, there's a lot of important things that I only learned over the internet...

Not one of those studies dealt with whether or not those women were capable of orgasm vaginally - only that they don't typically experience it through intercourse with a man.

Again, it might just be that 70% of men suck at bringing a woman or orgasm.

Or, as one of those articles mentioned, that 70% of women are too anxious to orgasm. I know that when I'm upset or anxious, I have problems in that department. One has to let go to get there, and if you can't let go, you won't get there. I assume these studies were done in the USA. Studies show that Americans have more anxiety than people in other developed countries.

Or maybe I really am a lesbian sex goddess.

I've always found it varies. Some women will have multiple orgasms during foreplay and some require a more deft touch and a bit of work. Given time, I could probably figure out how to get most women off, but sometimes when it is only a one time thing, you just don't hit the spot.
But you actually take the time to find out. You explore, get a sense, learn the territory - and bring your partner off during foreplay.

Question - do you use your fingers inside? If so, do you rub upward (towards the roof) of the vagina? Cause that's the spot. Once you get it started, it will keep going. IE: If you rub the G-spot during foreplay, and bring your partner to a vaginal orgasm just with the G-spot, then any sex that follows is much more likely to also result in vaginal orgasm.

....

Huh. Lot of sex advice threads today.

Yeah, I find fingers inside to work very well. I have noticed an upward and anterior angle (Palm up with fingers curled a bit back towards yourself) seems to hit the spot. Believe it or not I picked that up in a snippet of some TV show, tried it out with a GF who was very difficult to bring to orgasm and it worked like a charm.

1. Male
2. At most once every two days
3. No and I never have been
4. See no. 3
5. See no. 3
6. I've never noticed any difference
7. Interesting question. The way I understand it, the human body is designed to have sex regularly and there are consequences for abstinence so, healthy, I guess. Personally, though, I try to masturbate as little as possible for self-discipline and self-control purposes more than anything else; I'd like to have some control over my sexuality.
8. Until a couple of years ago I was a perfect, abstinent little catholic. My theistic standpoint changed and I basically discovered my sexuality.

See, this is why I think those statistics are bogus. Learning a fairly basic foreplay technique turned a "difficult to bring to orgasm" woman into a "worked like a charm" woman.

As far as I can tell, what those statistics actually mean is that only 30% of women are getting the proper foreplay. The actual percent of women who physically can't, for actual medical or psychological reasons, is likely far smaller.

Why have so many people on here never been in a relationship or had sex?

Way to live up to the stereotype guys!

(unless of course it's a religious thing)

1. Male
2. Typically 14-21 times a week.
3. No, never have.
4. No more than usual, used to be higher when i was in my teens.
5. Haven't done it in such a way that it would make me last longer, I am more aware of when I am hitting my limits.
6. Decreases focus because of increased amount of sexual thoughts.
7. Perfectly normal. (Unless you are too rough with yourself in which case it can be unhealthy if you cause damage to yourself.)
8. I masturbate less now, (Used to be 21-30 times a week.), I have less hangups, technique changed.

7. Do you believe that is is harmful or healthy? I.E. Reduce chances of certain cancers, mental health, stress or makes you go blind and grow hair on the palms of your hands? Potentially healthy. Keeps the system running smoothly. Reduces wet-dreams
8. Is it different now opposed to when you were younger? Younger I did it more because it was more exciting. I now have more elitist tastes.

Protip:

Probably don't matter how many times you do it a day.
But when you do it

DON'T GRAB YOUR JUNK HARD WHEN YOU YANK IT

I REPEAT DON'T GRAB YOUR JUNK HARD WHEN YOU YANK IT.

If you do, there is a good chance that you can't come when you do the real thing since you're used to such a high amount of stimulation and the female genital just can't match that amount of pressure, and you have to abstain for days if you ever plan to recover your sensitivity.

DON'T BE A RETARD, DON'T GRAB IT TOO HARD
