No specific meme in particular, but just the fact that when something on the internet is popular and easy to do (like memes), it drowns in bad immitations of itself, made by people with no sense of self critisism, far outnumbering the good immitations it produce.
Youtube videos suffer from this as well.
Art sites suffer form this as well, only they're redeemed cause it's a place for aspiring artists to seek feedback from people better than themselves, which is essential to learning.
Even threads on the espacist suffer from this, someone makes a cool thread, and you'll see it repeated, sometimes made better, but often just someone making a lame copy not adding anything new, just reposting, often lacking compared to the original.
And while you might say that "oh no worries, theres room for everything on the interweb" it still leaves the problem, that finding the actual good stuff is like digging for diamonds in a river of diareah.
All this leads me to the conclusion, that we need a new god or gods. Gods of the internet. Some kind of sentinent digital beeings, that will monitor the internet removing lame shit, and possibly shocking people through their screens, when they try to upload retarded copies of stuff.
They would also be responsible for finding and bringing people sharing child pornography to justice.
They could even go as far as to neglect game companies the right to run their games online, if they had DRM schemes hurting their users.
I wonder if someone would be capable of summoning some elder beeing like c'thulu or something, and turn it into this interbeeing, capable of bringing the internet back under control...
