...huh? I thought you had so many coins that it became problematic to keep them in your pockets and they flew all over the place when you left them in your pockets? That sounds like plenty enough to warrant their own jar. My point is that using a purse separate from a wallet already
is seeking a new methodology, societal conventions don't even need to enter the picture at this stage.
That said, I'm getting the distinct impression that this has gone (at least for the purposes of this thread) beyond a purely utilitarian scope and into the realm of making some kind of stand re: gender roles, "appropriate" clothing, and whathaveyou. Nothing wrong with that, but it does change my response to this.
Then again, I just carry a backpack and wear cargo pants everywhere so lack of storage space is a pretty unfamiliar problem to me.
