Poll: Modern Warfare 2?

So i have been sifting though a number of different forums and there seams to be some speculation about the trailer, for a start it doesn't even say call of duty so im not sure if it will be a FPS or something different

What are your views? are you exited about it?

Well... I speculate that there not gonna eff with the formula, keep it pretty much the same game untill the next one they make, so i thinnk this one isnt going to be mindblowingly good, but it still will be better than average...

Why would they not make it an FPS? That's like PoP games not having the time manipulation anymo...oh wait.

Anyway, I though CoD4 was only decent, so hell nay for the next part.

Except it was a typo, which is spelling, yours could use some work as well.

Call of Duty seems to be a decent good-but-not-great FPS in most areas. I don't know how unique the story can be within a WW2 or modern setting, but it probably wouldn't translate well to other genres.

world at war was poor, even the graphics where a step back

and the amount of times i have spawned in front of an the other team already spraying there mp40 or a brunch of dogs is just stupid

Are you saying its possible for it not to be a call do duty game but still use the same engine, gameplay and continued plot? because thats what i would like to see

Treyarch messed up the series, the only one I throughly enjoyed for its time was call of duty 2. World at War was ok, but the respawning crap was irritating. I die, respawn, someone is behind me. I kill two people almost got a recon plane, bam someone spawns behind me when Im in a building with one entrance. I expect much from Infinity Ward as I enjoyed CoD4

yeah i hated that so much, i tihnk the most annoyign one was where you where spawned in the middle of like 5 dogs, its like you only see in the first person view for about half of a second then your waiting to respawn again

i tihnk dogs just messed up the game tbh, atleast with a helicopter you could take cover inside

I think that CoD: Modern Warfare 2 will be better than CoD 5, though from what I hear, that won't take much!

like when you have to assault a fortification instead of just a room in the level

I already know most of whats gunna be in CoDMW2 cos of a game developer who leaked a load of information about the game to the public. He was then sacked from IW and his account with them was suspended making us think that this was legit info that he was providing.

I will provide all the info that we were given:


Vehicles will be in MW2
M16 will return, using stopping power will only be OHK at head, neck, and torso (abdomen, limbs, and hands/feet will not)
Ak47 and M4 will return, unknown if there are any changes
M40 will return, ACOG damage boost will be fixed
Scorpion, P90, M21, R700, G3, G360 will not return
There are more unknown weapons that will not return
New sniper rifle: SR25M (United states forces)
New Assault rifle: Diemeco C8 (Canadian forces M4 equivalent)
New Assault rifle: L85A2 (United Kingdom forces)
Total weapons in multiplayer are said to be around 35
FavoriteModern warfare 1 maps will return
Helicopters, air strikes, UAV will return
Red dot sightings will come in different shapes for multiplayer (circular, square, Original)
Snipers will have special grass camouflage (As seen in Modern warfare 1?s campaign)
All perks will return from MW except eavesdrop and others will be altered
All gametypes will return from MW and all will have hardcore versions
New gametype: Secure (Call of duty version of capture the flag, however you capture the enemy?s Intel)
New gametype unconfirmed name, similar to search and destroy, however instead of trying to plant a bomb, you try to kill a specified enemy
Solider customization for each class (and each country)
Sniper with silencers will NOT be in multiplayer
There are NO bots in local multiplayer
Similar version to Nazi Zombies, however details are unknown
NO guest players online, 1 player per console
Killcam save feature
There is blood and gore
Offline/Online Co-op
Story takes place in the Middle East
Role as US marines return
Ken Lally voice work in campaign
Release is set for sometime in November
New army tags will be available to add different elements in campaign (similar to halo skulls)
Campaign-only weapons

The play tester in question posted this info on IW's twitter page and has sense been removed and his account deleted, which leads everyone including us to believe at this time during development these are part of the game.
