Damn, is that show still going? Why don't they put that former-great-show-turned-into-brainless-kid's show out of its misery already?

I don't think any of the Simpson characters are annoying. I like them all in their own respects.
I tand to find Lisa irritating due to how her general self-righteousness (eg: that episode where she cheats on a test and then decided to confess that she cheated when the school was being presented with money which would benefit everyone was just bad due to her "principals" suddenly coming into play, and she generally comes across as appearing as though she thinks she's smarter then she really is).
Who is this 'Doug'? Either I need to watch and learn from this Doug, or I need out-troll him for his audacity at being "the troll outside."Cpt_Oblivious said:

Sometimes but almost all characters from any show annoy me once in a while. By the way, welcome to the Escapist. 
I don`t know. Lisa used to be a voice of observant reason around the whole Simpsons family. While the rest did their thing she would sit quietly, watching, then say something which would just bring a whole deeper level to the cartoon.
For example, my second favourite Simpsons episode is when Lisa sees Bart praying and says, `Prayer, the last refuge of a scoundral`, which somehow made me think of the times I have turned to prayer in an act of despiration. Lisa`s words helped me to link to Bart`s situation, while implying that even we are all scoundrals we can still have an essence of goodness purity. Even though Bart is a bad boy, he still has an innocent belief in God. That line just spoke to me on so many levels.
However, the show turned Lisa into a preachy platform for political views and mockery, making her annoying. I enjoyed the old Lisa and admired her passion for literiture and poignant observations.

A lot of cartoon, animated, characters in TV shows annoy me but I'm used to it so it does'nt really bother me...
I hate Lisa with the fiery wrath of a thousand suns. She's a know-it-all, a buzzkill, and a self-righteous little sack of puss. She always ruins the episodes, whenever something's going well, she just destroys it with her views. She never lets anyone else have anything, she thinks she's smarter than she is and I would launch her out of a space shuttle airlock into the vacuum of space given half a chance.

She annoys me less than most of the characters on Family Guy. Brian is a self-righteous atheist (I don't mind other athiests or agnostics, he's just so fucking pushy) that does nothing but whine about the world, and he's pretty much a common criminal (i.e. bestiality, possession/use, etc.) Stewie is continually trotted out as a sexual deviant (homo-, bi-, trans-, etc.) and Seth McFarlane seems to derive some sort of pleasure from torturing his creation. Peter is a jerk, pervert, and continues to act out worse than the mentally retarded (he should know better), and doesn't care about his actions.
Cleveland is the only mainstay guy that I like, and now he's leaving for a sub-par spinoff.
I was never overly bothered, to be honest, although, looking back, she did have some annoying qualities.
