ARG? Muse is playing? I already bought a ticket for U2. Well, they're both good. I've never seen U2 live but Muse is pretty great.

whats Muse like with crowd interaction?
Usualy they're nice, say a few words and such, but on some songs like Time is running out u'll notice Matthew queue the crowd in on the song and make em scream with him.

Although I haven't seen either (or in fact any) band live, I've heard from many sources that Muse are the greatest live band since Queen. So yeah... MUSE.

Muse put on probably one of the best shows in the world. The atmosphere at their concerts is second to none.

I'm just gonna ditto what has been said. Muse are the kings of live shows, they are great! U2 are a great band as well but since in my opinion Muse are better at least live. They put on a great show and fun too.

Here's what you do. Take both tickets, sell them, and go buy yourself a ticket to a Slayer concert and be a man while having one of the best times of your life! Gwar works too and is much cheaper.

Muse put an Epic show on, I saw them at Wembley Stadium 3 years ago and it was awesome. I'm going again on Saturday and I can't wait.
Also, I didn't realise anyone actually liked U2.

Sell the tickets, build a time machine, and then go back in time and see Nine Inch Nails. Now THERE is the best live band in the world. O2 Arena on their final tour was probably the best experience of my life.

It's actually a tough call. I've seen both bands live a couple of times, Muse are great live but U2 I think care a little bit more about emotion during their songs - One, Bullet The Blue Sky, Still Haven't Found, etc. There's a real passion that you don't quite get from Muse's songs. Having said that, I'd probably go Muse anyway, just in case they play Stockholm Syndrome. They're super-fun onstage and put on a good show.

Lol at the poll result thus far. I too am in Perth and will almost certainly be at Muse. U2 are playing two shows, so I'm tempted to see them as well just for the hell of it. Tickets are sold out already, but I'm sure there'll be a way if I decide to go for it.

Muse's live shows generally kick ass, all the time.

I'm not into concerts, but if there was one band I'd shell out for to see live, it'd be Muse any day.

I was hoping for the Escapist forum users opinion on which concert I should go to.
I'm going to make you feel really silly, but you'll be glad I did. According to my sources...

U2 is on the 18th.

Muse is on the 19th.

Go to both. Have fun.

(I've seen both bands and I didn't like either, but then I'm not a fan of either so I wouldn't listen to my opinion if I were you)

Muse are by far the best band live in the world at the moment. I've seen them 11 times in 4 years, just saw them last Saturday, and I still want to go and see them again >.< I highly recommend them over any other band live

What if he doesn't like Slayer? I KNOW, WHAT ARE ODDS OF SOMEBODY NOT LIKING SLAYER?!?!?!?!!?
I don't. Bit too heavy for me...

OT: If I had to pick one, Muse. Though I can honestly say I really don't give a crap about either band.

I didn't buy the tickets and both the tickets are for the 19th. I was told U2 sold out of 18th in an hour.

Oh okay, so they booked a second show... well, frankly I think both bands are a bit of a waste of time live, letting their video screens and lighting effects do too much of the talking, but if I had to choose I'd pick Muse. U2 are so far past their peak it's like watching a U2 cover band, Muse at least are riding high right now and will probably never be this good again.
