Poll: Music on Forums

For some reason whenever I have a conversation with somebody on a forum I always think of them as a lifeless robot only capable of going on the forums, today that changed, I wondered what sort of music people on forums listen to is there just one stereo typical response that will come from all Escapists or will everybody have unique diversified responses so tell me Escapists, What music do you listen to?, if you have very specific choices or your choice isn't listed post it in the comments(I need some new music to listen to anyway).

(Edit: For some reason I can't change the options in polls and the choices are very restricting even for stereo-types also sorry for the 2 techno options, except to be truthful this poll wasn't made to please everyone so sorry if your favorite type wasn't on here, I'm just a bit stupid today)

Where's metal, or video game music? Where's big-band? Avant-garde? Classical?

Eh, I don't like any of those (clarification: I would not choose to listen to them. Not my type of music.), and you don't even have an "other option"...
As post #2 said, options are inadequate >.>
Anyway, I tend to listen to J-pop. Despite the name, it covers quite a lot of Japanese music, not just what would be thought of as "pop".

I listen to a lot of stuff, mostly heavier stuff like rock, or heavy rock. But I listen to a fair bit of electronic too.

Hard to say just one genre, but alternative sums it up best as most of what I listen to doesn't get into the charts much, (wow, now I sound like a hipster).

I like metal, symphonic metal to be precise, some electronica and a lot of heavy rock and pop.

I didn't grow up around hip hop or R'n'B, so they don't have much appeal for me...

I like some techno, but then I really don't like some other techno. However, looking at your poll I was unable to determine which techno was the one I liked and which was the one I hated, so I was unable to vote.

Also, "alternative" isn't a style of music.

Also, no metal option is a good way to alienate at least 50% of the forum population here.

So yeah. I don't know if this poll's data is really going to be worth anything. It proves nothing however people vote anyway. Calling people lifeless robots because they all like the same stuff makes little sense - maybe they all like the same stuff because they just feel that that stuff is better?

Goodness music threads with polls are silly.

I like "Techno" (I hate calling it that), Hip Hop, Jazz, Pop, Metal and most sub-genres of rock.

What do I do now?

Whatever genre you put the Pixies into, that sums it up well for me. They're not my favorite band (Wilco takes that spot, but the Pixies would make the top five), but they hit a lot of the right spots for me.

I like dissonance. Something I love about Wilco and the Pixies is when they make a song that is a basic folk song at its core, but with chaotic elements creeping in so that it sounds self-destructive. That sort of tension is incredible to me.

My favorite genres are punk, folk, blues, bluegrass, and jazz. But much of what I listen to is hybridized.

Well, bands I like include Gorillaz, Kaiser cheifs and the hoosiers. (first three to come off the top of my head)

and I enjoy plently of videogame music, like the stuff in brawl and whatever crush 40 does.
