SBA. Are you getting the second MW2 map pack? I know the 360 version is out first, but answer regardless of system.

Even though I have all but given up on the game, I am going to get them, as I love playing private matches with my friends. I rarely do competitive games on MW2 anymore.

I'm going to get them, but reluctantly. I'm not going to say they look good, but like OP, private matches with friends adds appeal.

Plus it makes me feel slightly smug when I'm with friends who don't gave it.

(and the cost ties in nicely with the SC:Conviction DLC so I can buy a nice round 2000 points).

I haven't played MW2 in months, nor do I intend to, I'm kind of finished with it. It was fun while it lasted, but it really serves best as a pioneer of how not to do things. No beta, broken multiplayer, slow patches, more broken multiplayer, overpriced dlc.

I'll just sit and play TF2 instead. It's embarrassing to even admit I played MW2 when you compare it to that.

Don't buy it...

Otherwise they'll charge you for this crap again and again.

This this and ermm this. I refuse to buy these map packs for TEN POUNDS a pop toward a game I already own. Two of these maps in each map pack are reused and so cost a total of "gasp" ZERO pounds to make. I'm not paying 20 quid for two sets of textures when I already forked over £50 for the game. I hate DLC and I hate game developers doing this to us. Be like valve and make it FREE.

Yes, it maybe a broken massacre but when it's good, it's really good.

Theres nothing quite like 12 people fighting tooth and nail to win a demolition match, planting the bomb, then dieing, followed by praying to all the gods it isn't defused but you know it will be, then you hear the fateful message "bomb defussed" (the voice over guy has a weird accent sometimes) then you have to fight to plant it again as the time ticks down.

I love it, I don't mind dieing 60 odd times, it's just so tense and playing like this on new maps will be fun.

As a side note, all the maps to me are new 'cos I never played MW online, so it's a better deal to me.

1200 points for 3 new maps? No-thank-you

I much rather pay 1600 for 19, yes 19 gears of war maps (which is not 800 points!!!)

I just don't get why someone would pay 2600 points for 6 new maps and 4 old ones :S Sure cause they enjoy it, but thats adding about £20 on top of what they already paid to get the game in the first place..I rather stick to COD 5 which was awesome :)

I'm not buying it, because even if I still played MW2, my freind got the first one for free by coping his brother's copy onto his memory stick. ;)

While it looks great I'm pretty much done with MW2 so I'm skipping it. Also it is quite expensive for just 5 maps.

I don't get how the maps that came with the game weren't enough. i migh consider getting them just out of curiosity and to get a break from the regualars but frankly the prices are just extortionate. So NO

Well that depends. Is it the same collossal piece-of-shit rip-off unequalled in the annals of video game price gouging like the first expansion pack, or are they actually willing to make it come vaguely close to somewhat worth what they're asking for it? Hmm...

The 'Stimulus Package' was the biggest rip-off of the last decade, an immense piece of shit that gives you 5 -count 'em, fucking FIVE- maps to play on, two of which were taken DIRECTLY FROM THE PREVIOUS GAME. There was NO new content beyond this, and frankly if you want to play on Crash and Overgrown so fucking much, why don't you just go back and play the the original Modern Warfare again? (Do that anyway, it's a much better game.) And how much was Activision asking for something that should have been a free update for any reasonable FPS?

FIFTEEN. FUCKING. U.S. DOLLARS.

Fuck Activision and fuck MW2. That was the most blatant gouging I think I've ever seen and I live in AUSTRALIA of all places, where we get charged double on EVERYTHING! (You know how much new games cost us on release? AU$80-100!) And apparently the Resurgence Map Pack is going to be the EXACT SAME FUCKING THING- 3 new maps, 2 old maps, NO actual new content. And yet the dumb fratboys who lap this shit up because "OMG MW2 is the BEST GAME EVAR!!1!" will download it in the millions, verifying the worth of this garbage to Activision and encouraging them to CONTINUE flicking the middle finger to their cheerfully oblivious audience, completely ignoring the more intelligent minority who DON'T enjoy being fucked in the ass by their greedy corporate overlords.

Yeesh!

So, I'll put you down for a maybe?

Your overreacting just a tad.

If you think about it it's still good value for money, a new DVD costs £20 and lasts an hour and half before you know it all, for half of that price you get a few maps you can have unlimited time on and it's always going to be different.

To me all the maps are new, so it's even better value for money.

By the way there is new content, 3 of the maps are brand spanking new.

Don't like it don't buy it, then they cant "CONTINUE flicking the middle finger" to you atleast.
