I reckon it'll take a few years for anything good to be released and by that time next gen'll be out, pointless to me
Seeing as how a Star Wars title is coming out early next year i dont think it will take a couple years.
Also the reasons if the Kinect turns out to be a direct duplicate of the Wii that it will be superior are:
Its HD
It has a great online structure (no friend code bullshit)
Great 3rd party support (unlike the Wii, where the only decent games are 1st party)
I don't see them releasing original Xbox games with pointer controls (unlike Wii's release of Pikmin)
You don't have to buy another $80 controller set up just to have a 2nd user play a game with you (Wiimote $40, Numchuck $20, Motion Plus $20...ouch)
Its motion based game play is actual motion based and not some predetermined wand gesture. Take bowling for example, you can on the Wii get a perfect 300 game with a flick of your wrist. However on Kinect you have to make the full arm swing and aim.
The camera can be used for other applications such as browsing your system, scanning items into games, video chatting and signing you into the system.
So I will end this list now but my point I would like to end on is this. I doubt the Kinect system and games will ever have deep story driven games. But thats not the point of it at all, Kinect is going to enchance controller based games like Fable 3, and provide fun party/family games that anyone can play. Thankfully Microsoft is not in the business to make a bunch of shovelware like Nintendo apparently is so I have high hopes that we will see some amazing titles.
