I was upset when Toonami played Naruto (more of an AS thing). This is just plain worse, and I don't even like it anymore.

Good God. It'll be like One Piece except worse. Next they are gonna buy the rights to Death Note and turn it into a sesame street-esque children's program.

I imagined a Disney Death Note being like High School Musical, which is even worse.

But yeah, even though I'm not really a Naruto fan this will not be a good thing for the series. I'll just hope that they never think of making a crappy teen movie out of Haruhi.

Spectacular Spiderman is one of the greatest cartoon renditions of a super hero ever. They've always cared about money, it's a fucking buisiness! I agree that Disney is not exactly at its peak right now, but at least give them a fucking chance before you start being all doom and gloom.

Even though I stopped watching Shippuuden, it just doesn't deserve getting broadcasted between the likes of Hannah Montana. It's not exactly a show for the tween demographic either, and I don't want to know what they're going to do to make it fit in that demographic.

I did not make a mistake nor am I playing a practical joke. Naruto Shippuden will be broadcast alongside such shows as Hannah Montana and The Suite Life. I thought nothing of it when they purchased Marvel because they already show Spiderman, X-men, X-men Evolution, and The Spectacular Spiderman. There was never any real interest in anime until now and I must question their first choice. I can only imagine the massive changes coming along with the series. Anyone who has seen Shippuden knows it anything but family friendly so what do you think about all this?

The series sucked already (Even the original japanese version beforet he otaku and fanboys jump me) It's fucking street fighter/dbz with perverts and kids!

Disney can only make it better as far as I am concerned as you can't make shat worse. Sure you can cover it in radiation, but I still am not going to accept it just as much as I didn't before XD

wow, i was so busy puking i forgot about the terrible dubbing that will inevitably happen. I can't exactly see Disney letting naruto's new favorite catch phrase ("Bastard!"(amiright?)) make it to the show if its airing on family. Now, I like naruto. I am NOT a narutard! I like plenty of other mangas and anime more(like yureka, and one piece, and (all) ecchi's) But naruto has been done wrong so often that its basically the poster boy for potential failure of anime. I think it needs a break.
But WTF is it with disney? first they somehow snuck into Kingdom hearts, dressing itself up in a semi violent/sparkle suit and pretending to be on par with FINAL FANTASY!.....god i hate disney, i HATE it with a new found passion i have only known for people who call video games stupid. Seriously, you can tell they're trying to make anime mainstream(again.) What i dont understand is WHYYYY!? WHY FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER!? WHYYYYY!???????
on the other hand, this will increase anime awareness and hopefully we'll see a decline in people who call anime "cartoons"(they're technically correct but seriously, I dont call an american football an "oval ball")

I stopped watching naruto and bleach long ago. The Manga's pretty cool actually, I'd rather read it for 10 min than watch a 23 min episode

Dude, the voices are the EXACT same as before.

Let me explain to you how anime on tv works. A dubbing company, in this case, Viz Media, licenses a show from Japan, in this case Naruto. They now have control of distribution rights in North America. They then dub it and release it on dvd in select stores. The dubbing company can put their show on tv, if they negotiate a deal with a tv network. Any edits or dialogue is decided entirely by the dubbing company.

Chances are, they won't edit shit. Disney are some greedy bastards, but smart enough businessmen to know that with the fall of Cartoon Network, there's a market of Naruto fans (I'm talking about the young kids who don't know about subs and the internet) thirsty for their orange ninja. Any edits could jeopardize their hold, and thus threaten their wallets.

This isn't 4kids, man. You gotta realize that.

And besides, those pronunciations are all correct.

But the pronounciations I typed are wrong. I was poking fun at how the uninformed/Newbs say them. ex:
nuhrootoe is Na(KNO_t)ru(RU_le)to(TO_w)

So your saying if Viz is selling the show the seiyuu go with it. But the little kids who watch the edited version on CN won't care as much about balant edits as much as older ones would, so It's possible to take it further like an ommision of all blood. I really don't think blood has EVER. been on anything from toon disney/XD. Heck Pixar's "UP" pushed the envelope with guns, bleeding, and physical violence between human characters. I find it hard to believe Soccermoms around the country will be OK with Murder, Assasinations, blood, threats, The BOMBING of a village, the fox DEMON, Oiroke no jutsu, Tsunade's knockers, etc. Nothing like thats EVER been on disney. Thats why I think some serious edits are in order.
