Aren't flood only as powerful as what they're infecting?

If it's a situation where it's just humans on the menu, Necro's win.

EDIT: I have no idea I would draw so many Halo fanboys out of the woodwork with this comment.

Don't forget, destroy the marker, destroy the necromorphs. The flood can only be destroyed by the rings, wiping out humanity in the process.

Well Necromorphs are mutant corpses and Flood are mutated people/aliens so there's no reason the two couldn't co-exist.

Flood get the living subjects and when the hosts die the Necromorphs get the corpses and anything left of the corpses when the Necromorphs are slain can be used as Flood material.

It could work.
It could work... for them!

But if this does happen we are all screwed!!

Necromorphs eat dead bodies. Nids eat biomass. Flood eat everything.
What do you think Necromorphs and Flood are...?

They're biomass. All of them. One Tyranid hive fleet (even just a splinter fleet) would be the doom of both other factions.

The Flood... Hands Down...

The Flood nearly wiped out the galaxy! They have the collective intelligence of trillions of beings: Human, Covenant, and other!

The Necromorphs are just uglier...

Flood, because they don't get stopped by a big lump of rock... and they (at least in combat evolved) don't fall apart like plastecine.

What if the flood infected the 'nids? Some kind of super hive queen flood form?
Sure, we'd all be screwed, but the crossover would be interesting to see.

I vote for the Thing. They had much better design than Necromorphs. The Many wasnt that bad either, they just where too into having flesh.

Even if this is off the poll,I agree with the Nid's.I don't know much about the Flood, but I do know that necromorphs can't operate a spaceship to travel between places, maybe the creator of the marker can,but we're talking about the necromorphs here.
The Nids can,and when they do,they ravage entire systems leaving nothing alive. If the Flood are technically living(and considering that they infect other creatures, they are),then the Nids will consume them.
If a single still mostly human super soldier can stop the Flood for a while, what does that tell you when entire Chapters of truly super human Space Marines can barely do anything to stop the Nids?

But I suppose that if I had to choose between your two choices,I'll go with the necros, because they scare me the most, popping out of vents and whatnot.

I dont claim to know much about the Necros but I know almost all their is about the Flood, and I know that the portion that the UNSC and Sangheli destroyed was the equivilent of a century in the roman army, less than 1%. That and the fact that the pure forms get more and more dangerous the longer they are left to their own devices. And can someone tell me if the Necromorphs get their hosts memory? Because the flood does and I dont want to label that as a plus without the other side of the stroy.

The flood because of the sheer numbers.

Although they wouldn't stand a chance against Phyrexia. Hail Yawgmoth, Father of Machines!

Seeing as mining tools are super effective against necromorphs, I don't think they would be a real threat to...well, most real threats. The Flood wouldn't have a real problem wiping them out. Neither would a group of space dwarves, if that even exists.

In the reasoning I took to decide that the Flood would win, I looked at how they were defeated. The Necros were vanquished by a single Engineer with mining equipment. The flood had to take one genetically enhanced super solider with the help of his mortal enemy.
