I didn't like it at all when compared to the first one and to make things worse my copy didn't work properly so that when I got to a certain point in the game it wouldn't let me finish the quest I needed to do to move on.
en garde you uncouth scoundrel!Furburt said:A fight to the death it is then!
Do you actually do anything on these forums other than bash DA:O?s69-5 said:Then that genre must have been in some real trouble because DA:O was pretty generic and bland itself...
Didn't mean to offend, though I failed to find any good ones. I went to several large NWN1 modding sites and had them list their top rated stuff, then went through about two dozen mods. Didn't like a single one. Some had indications of decent ideas, but the excecution was always clumsy, limited and unsatisfying.Frankster said:^ Nwn1 mods were mostly pretty crap? :O
Good sir, I'm afraid we will need to duel to the death over this, some of my strongest video game rpging memories are in nwn1 mods. Some of the stuff people done were wonderfully creative in their setting and scope.
Oh well, to each his own. I found DA:O to be a great game in almost every regard. On the other hand, I recently got to play Demon's Souls, also expecting greatness (considering that every PS3 fan was creaming their pants over the game). All I found was a Diablo clone with 3D graphics...s69-5 said:Plenty actually. That particular subject has just come up quite often as of late.
EDIT: You must realize, the hype that game received made me want to get it (and I expected greatness). What I got was the biggest disappointment I've played in 25 years... Just making sure that other people don't fall for that trap.

And Bioware are Canadian! The technical term is 'Western RPG'.
We are all aware that Neverwinter Nights 2 was made by Obsidian, not Bioware, right?Catkid906 said:Well, learn something new everyday.
