So I have been watching Zero Punctuation for a long time now and felt I should join The Escapist as some way of saying thank you for giving us all Yahtzee. Here's the problem. I have seen that you can get a badge for doing almost anything on this site, EXCEPT watching episodes of Zero Punctuation. I mean shouldn't we be rewarded for having the good sense to listen to The Escapist's linguistic bile spewing reviewer? After all the horrible games he has had to review, shouldn't Yahtzee have a badge set dedicated to himself? After hitting my 62 episode mark I should have gotten the "Hey, your face didn't melt" badge or something. The time has come for change...

Well putting them in this late would force people to go back and rewatch them if they're badge whores, and besides plenty of people already watch ZP.
Yeah i thought this was the case also. But i must say, at least you get a badge for beating him at his quiz... Pity i can't do it but only because i like Zero Punctuation, not actually interested in Yatzee himself (no offence im sure he is a great guy and i know he is liked, but i havn't got the time to read his life story lol).Pararaptor said:

Are badges really that important to you? There was a badge for getting 100% in the Yahtzee quiz. Printscreen that and hide it away in your personal folder or something. It'll be yours to cherish forever.
First of all, you don't get badges for all of the content except Zero Punctuation. You don't get badges for reading any of the columns, reading any news articles, reading Alt Escape, reading/ watching any reviews, watching Moviebob, watching ENN, watching The Escapist Presents, there are still lots of things you don't get badges for.
Also, the whole point of the content badges is to introduce users to content that otherwise people probably wouldn't've noticed on the site. They are less of a way of celebrating and more a way of saying: "Look, here's something new for you to look at, why not give it a try?" The problem with content like Zero Punctuation is that it is popular enough already and enough users know about it by this point that giving out badges to show that it is there to watch is pointless and unnecessary.

They can't put in "viewing Yahtzee episodes" badges because they're overly topheavy and would cause the site to capsize. Sorry.
I wasn't too happy with the badges for looking at certain content. That is, until I realised I could rearrange my badges (took me months to notice).
Don't get me wrong. When I watched all the episodes and didn't get any badges for it I didn't sit there and curse the Heavens feeling cheated and molested. But how hard is it to create a badge. If you're going to give a badge for posting threads, starting a profile, and making friends then why not throw out some badges to everyone who contributes. I'm not going to throw a fit or quit The Escapist if they don't meet my badge demands. And who doesn't love free badges?
