Am I human when I am bitten? If so, *BLAM*. If I have finally escaped this fleshy prison, then I have nothing to worry about. I can't become a zombie if I'm made of metal, can I?

...Right?

...Ri-*Collapses*

...Brrrrrraaaaaaiiiiiinnnnnnssssss...

I have a strong fear that the zombie would catch something through biting me. I'd need to get him to a vet ASAP.
poor guy.

GUYS!!!! Someone HAS to be immune! If it ever actually happens, it will most likely spread through the air, which means anyone who doesn't turn into a zombie immediately is already immune! Also, what if it spreads like any other infection?? TOO MANY PEOPLE WOULD BE KILLED BEFORE WE REALIZED THESE THINGS! Movies and games have conditioned us to believe there is no way to stop the spread of infection, and that the infection would spread incredibly quickly. Don't make assumptions based on television, if there WAS a zombie virus, we WOULDN'T KNOW ANYTHING about how it actually works unless we tested it.
I always wonder why people assume a zombie virus. No virus could ever live in a dead cell, so after the human died the virus would do so too. I'm writting a zombie fic, and I'm working from a fungus. One that travels to the brain and protects only certain parts while destroying other parts to do so. If this fungus would spread across the entire nervous system it would actually be possible for a rotting body to listen to the brain. Of course such a fungus can never exist, but it feels more plausible then a virus to me.

Nice...I've thought for a while that we could make a "zombie virus" by using PCP and reprogramming some basic neuro-transmitters to make humans seem like edibles. I haven't worked out how to make it spread through bites, maybe a form of aids? But yea, the PCP (or pcp-like substance) would cause them to hallucinate, with a little tampering it could also make them very angry (a little more tampering could make the results permanent). Then, we just make some chemical (I'm sure there's something out there...maybe not a chemical, I'm not a fucking scientist) that would cause them to view humans as food. So...yea...not so much a zombie virus as a zombie drug.
That's the 28-days and 28-weeks after approach isn't it? Dunno if those really zombies though. Still it's the only thing that sound even remotely plausible though, I still have to figure out a theory about where the traditional rotting zombie gets the energy to move from.

Grab my Ipod, hook up the Ihome/Ispeaker. Play, "115" and kill every zombie in town, no regrets, no holding back, all out zombie killing before I die.

Well, it'd be too much to just presume that getting bitten means turning into a zombie, so I'd just wait and see, offering to remain in a secluded, secure area until we know that it does. At that point, it's a bit late anyways.
