I'd say no because coop doesn't really work with PC. I mean it does technically work, but you always get morons that don't know what they are doing, or steal everything, or whatever. Think that goes for pretty much any coop on any platform though.

Im sorry if i sound a bit like an idiot, but I dont follow? You want to put four PC's on one computer desk, then hook them up to four different monitors. That would be a dream setup for alot of people :D, But PC gaming is already laughed at as it is for costing alot for PCs, for that setup you need alot of space and alot of money.
That's why your friends bring their own hardware over and you let them use what you can spare for example I have 2 monitors, to make it easier for them, I let them borrow it for the time being.
How close do your friends live to bring round a PC when they want to play like that? Because PC's arent generally light.
Look, it's called having a LAN party. You take over your kit, no matter how heavy it is, you set all the PCs up on a table or two in a decently sized room (lets say the average size of a living room, maybe?) and you put up with any logistical issues because at the end of the day, watching your mate ***** because you shot him in the face for the 500th time that evening is a hell of a lot better than hearing about it over a headset.

Like people have said, split-screen on PC is a hassle and not really worth doing, and LANs are great but not exactly easy. But what's wrong with online co-op? The only recent PC games I can think of with online co-op are L4D1 + 2 and Borderlands (although its co-op is pretty much broken on PC). If anything, we need more of that.

I recently bought a game called "Crash time 2" off of steam (for cheap :)) and noticed the split screen support, which was wonderful, and went on to play my mates over and over on it.

But I found myself asking why more PC games dont include a split screen, I mean there alot of fun to play and can be useful for people with only one "good" pc in their home.

So, what do you think? Should we have more Co-Op on PC?

EDIT: Yes, Split screen Co-Op, not online/LAN
EDIT EDIT: (I really didnt think it through :p) I have four gamepads to use with my PC, so the control scheme really isnt a problem, though I can see with a mouse/keyboard combo it becomes a problem.
Im in the same situation basically the only co-op I can get on my PC is by running emulators
try project64 with a goldeneye rom and 4 xbox 360 gamepads or a sega emulator like gens and play 2 player golden axe and street fighter

I don't think they will do it, because the good thing about split screen is that you can dump your mates on a bench and just play a game, without all the fuss of dragging PC's all the way to hell and back,

and I see no way how I can reference singing or playing bass in this thread,
sorry =(

Playing split-screen co-op on a PC is about as retarded as playing an FPS on a console (which, if you're wondering, I think is retarded).

That's why people use LAN.

Split screen only works on consoles. the only split screen PC games i've played were little miniclip type game, which only used four buttons.

How would... how would you use split screen on one PC? Would you plug in two mice and keyboards? I think that there should be more co-op games, but not split screen.

I agree with co-op, but not with split screen. As has been mentioned, m+k control schemes are the norm, gamepads are a risky thing. MSFT Xbox controllers seem to work ok, but if I'm going to buy the controllers, I'm going to get a console.

LANing is much more fun, even online co-op is fun, unfortunately devs nowadays seem to think the only reason we play online is to kill the other.

So yes for co-op, no for split screen. My monitor isn't big enough anyway. =P
