Poll: PC gamer getting a console...OH NOES!

I bought both a PS3 and a 360... I now only own my 360 because the PS3 was kinda crappy, go 360 in my opinion, you can get a new 360 slim for the same price as a pre owned PS3 xD

This thread has probably been done before, but I would like to state my case.

So, I do the majority of my gaming on the PC(which will most likely last me at least another half decade before having to upgrade). I just like keyboard/mouse way more than a gamepad for shooters, which is my favorite genre. However, recently my gf and I have been playing my old Playstation 2, specifically things like Tekken, wrestling games, Dynasty Warriors, and will be more than likely be branching out to more games, including shooters. It has got me thinking that perhaps I need to get a new console. Now, I purchased a Wii when it came out and I was thoroughly dissatisfied with the game selection, but things may have changed since then. I could take it back from my sister, if she doesn't use it that often. Or I could purchase an Xbox 360(probably a 4gb one). I won't consider the Playstation 3 because it just seems far too expensive for me. So, what would you recommend?

edit: since so many are vocal on the issue, I added a PS3 option anyway. Edit2: Or not, no clue how to edit a poll or if it's even possible. It's not letting me add a 4th option.

PS 3 and DAMN THE EXPENSE... it will save you money in the long run by not oddly refusing to turn on one day like your X-Box most certainly will. (RROD - you can Google it, it's so common.)

Seriously as a console gamer I advise you to just stick with the PC. If that is what you prefer then use that. If your girlfriend wants a new console, I'd go with a PS3 or 360, either way you'll be fine. But really if all you want to play are shooters then stick with what brought you to the dance unless there are any console exclusives you really want to play and feel the cost is worth it.

(I really hate the console vs. PC argument. All of them are great for gaming so we should worry about the games and not argue about which platform to play them on is the best)

PS3 is the same price as a 360 and IMO the better option given the games you've listed.
