I love peanut butter. There are few things that I wouldn't at least try to eat with peanut butter. I recently had a plate of celery and carrots with some peanut butter as dip.
My father loved peanut butter. My brother enjoys it. My mother likes it.
My girlfriend doesn't like it, and one of my close friends HATES it.
In fact, there are a few people in my life that do not like peanut butter, and it's kind of baffling to me.
I used to feel the same about people that didn't like pizza, but I can at least understand that: It's greasy and depending on where you get it from it can make you feel upset by how much grease is in it.
However the people I know that don't like peanut butter are very few, and since it's been a part of my life for so long I guess it's hard for me to accept how someone couldn't like one of my favorite foods. (I'm exaggerating, of course, it's totally cool if you don't like it)
But I would be curious to know if there's any specific events in ones life that could cause someone not to like peanut butter other than just taste. There are foods I won't touch just simply because something happened involving the food and that's all I can think about when seeing it (for example, not only did I hate the smell, but I was also quite nauseous when my parents were having candied sweet potatoes, so now even the smell can trigger a bit of nausea, and it tarnishes the taste even as an adult)
Do you like peanut butter as much as I do? What creative/special ways have you used it in food? Heck, even if it wasn't for food! I'm curious to know.
