Just what kind of drugs were they on when they thought of this idea? Whatever it is I think we should all stay away from that shit.
I'm sorry, but I just had to tell you that I laughed out loud at that remark and kept laughing for a good minute. You brought tears to my eyes. TEARS! I laughed so hard. And I'm still laughing. Good show, my friend.-Dragmire- said:New PETA slogan: Cum See Our Meat!

Quick copy-paste of article tadbits for the lazy:
Now, PETA has pulled out all of the stops with a XXX porn site for its next clever marketing endeavor.
"We live in a 24 hour news cycle world and we learn the racy things we do are sometimes the most effective way that we can reach particular individuals," said PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt
"Instead of focusing on anti-fur, the porn site will raise awareness of veganism," said Rajt. "We really want to grab people's attention, get them talking and to question the status quo and ultimately take action, because the best way we can help the greatest number of animals is simply by not eating them."
"PETA's sexy side displayed in galleries and videos will quickly give way to the sinister world of animal mistreatment uncovered by the group?s hidden camera investigations in a very different kind of graphic content."
So how pornographic will PETA go? According to Rajt, it will have enough adult content to qualify for the XXX domain site but also some other graphic images of animals that viewers may not expect to see.
I haven't taken PETA seriously in forever. For all the awareness they brought up about animal cruelty, they are mostly remembered for the ads that feature nude women saying "Don't wear fur" or "go vegan." I agree that it was catchy and people did pay attention to the ad a bit, but I don't think it made that much of a difference.
But this idea of a porn site to raise awareness?
Personally, I think it'll bring publicity but not awareness. I highly doubt that anyone has turned vegan because of these ads and I doubt any of these ads has helped any animals substantially. PETA should stop doing these types of things because they won't be taken seriously. The media doesn't give a damn about the animals, they only care about the 'controversy' having nude women in ads.
Short story: Nobody goes to a porn site to learn about social/environmental/political issues. They go to fap.
But I'm curious Escapees, do you think that any of these ads actually raise awareness?
Disturbingly, The Onion has developed something weirdly close to your statement, and they somehow did it years before you said it: http://www.theonion.com/video/advocacy-group-decries-petas-inhumane-treatment-of,14359/Patrick_and_the_ricks said:Peta: they wont stop until animals have more rights than women.
You all know it's true.
I don't know if that's funny or sad.Mirror Cage said:Disturbingly, The Onion has developed something weirdly close to your statement, and they somehow did it years before you said it: http://www.theonion.com/video/advocacy-group-decries-petas-inhumane-treatment-of,14359/Patrick_and_the_ricks said:Peta: they wont stop until animals have more rights than women.

Same here, but it's mainly because I saw the South Park episode with PETA in it. They were called eco-terrorists.lolmynamewastaken said:PETA scares me slightly more every time i hear something about them.
