Of course this wouldn't raise any kind of awareness or rally anybody to their cause. Even if the sweaty fellow with one hand on his cock DID appreciate the sudden abusive interruption, he's certainly not going to direct his friends and family to the website to see it.
"Uh...Rick...what were you doing on this website again?"

Yeah. Not going to happen. Plus, if I was watching porn, and suddenly I was treated to a barrage of animals being abused, I doubt very strongly it would make me want to save the animals. It would most likely make me blacklist the site and never go there again.

And on a final note - the Captcha says 'iesvisaj, Conner'. My name is Conor. I am frightened.

Yes, let's take action! Let's oppose the very things that have allowed millions of people worldwide lead a relatively healthy and normal life, including a high profile member of your organization! Let's support and publicize a terrorist organization and let's teach students how to make bombs! Let's protest against organizations that deal with animals and regularly euthanize them but at the same time euthanize more animals than all of them combined.

Fuck you PETA and an especially big fuck you to Ingrid Newkirk or whatever the fuck her name is. Animal testing saved my grandfathers life, saved my mothers life and will most likely save mine and if you can HONESTLY put the well being animals above that of human beings then I can say without a shadow of a doubt you're out of your fucking mind.

Ok, so PETA mixes together porn and dead animals to make people vegan.

Now look at that and tell me you don't feel hungry!

No, it seems pointless.

The soul existence for pornography is to satisfy the urge to well... Satisfy. OR, just plain interest.

Countless times I've looked at strange alternative porns because it's either funny to watch, or extremely interesting.

Other times, people go there to fap. And when they want to fap, they generally want to just do the very thing that they are so infatuated with. You cannot beat past a sexual urge to teach us all of these things PETA. We won't give a shit. And if you throttle the site trying to teach us this crap, then the solution is simple. We go to another porn site.

Do never interrupt fap time. Ever.

So let me get this straight i'll be wanking to some kind of lesbian scene and then BLAM shows a picture of a cow getting skined alive. Sounds like a bad idea it'll kill the mood.

So one minute your wanking away at some regular straight porn when suddenly images of animal abuse invade the screen? Sounds like a massive boner killer to me, unless your pretty damn weird.

I don't think they do and I don't think peta help animals rather than "rescue" them and put them down. Their stunts never raise any awareness other than oh look another weird peta stunt.

PETA and porn? Wow, they adopted a completely irrelevant tactic as a means to gain support for their stupid ideas. Even if people went to their site, it clearly isn't to support animals.

How is this a good campaign?

Become a vegan and you too can watch porn on the internet?

Good job PETA.

Shine on you crazy diamonds.

Just what kind of drugs were they on when they thought of this idea? Whatever it is I think we should all stay away from that shit.

This is an eyebrow raiser... Even more so than before. I originally thought this was just an idea and this not real, but I guess not.

What the fuck PETA? As if I haven't said that enough, even more so now, WHAT THE FUCK?! Well, at least there's some more pr0n for internet patrons to look at. This even further makes me view the PETA as a mass trolling operation, and a mass attention whoring operation at the same time.

I have to agree with Penn and Teller. PETA is Bullshit. I loved a recent article I read where PETA denounced a man for killing an elephant. Thing is, he was asked to by a local village. Elephants are known to devastate what little crops some small African villages have. Hunters will go shoot the animals and the the village will keep the elephant to feed the people. Actually, elephants can devastate whole ecosystems if left unchecked. But, hey, a guy killed a 2 ton animal and PETA can't let that happen even to protect people (who mostly eat the crops they grow and very little meat, if any).

I'm sorry, but I just had to tell you that I laughed out loud at that remark and kept laughing for a good minute. You brought tears to my eyes. TEARS! I laughed so hard. And I'm still laughing. Good show, my friend.

http://wallblog.co.uk/2011/08/23/peta-plans-to-launch-a-porn-site-in-vegan-campaign/

Quick copy-paste of article tadbits for the lazy:
Now, PETA has pulled out all of the stops with a XXX porn site for its next clever marketing endeavor.

"We live in a 24 hour news cycle world and we learn the racy things we do are sometimes the most effective way that we can reach particular individuals," said PETA spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt

"Instead of focusing on anti-fur, the porn site will raise awareness of veganism," said Rajt. "We really want to grab people's attention, get them talking and to question the status quo and ultimately take action, because the best way we can help the greatest number of animals is simply by not eating them."

"PETA's sexy side displayed in galleries and videos will quickly give way to the sinister world of animal mistreatment uncovered by the group?s hidden camera investigations in a very different kind of graphic content."

So how pornographic will PETA go? According to Rajt, it will have enough adult content to qualify for the XXX domain site but also some other graphic images of animals that viewers may not expect to see.

I haven't taken PETA seriously in forever. For all the awareness they brought up about animal cruelty, they are mostly remembered for the ads that feature nude women saying "Don't wear fur" or "go vegan." I agree that it was catchy and people did pay attention to the ad a bit, but I don't think it made that much of a difference.
But this idea of a porn site to raise awareness?
Personally, I think it'll bring publicity but not awareness. I highly doubt that anyone has turned vegan because of these ads and I doubt any of these ads has helped any animals substantially. PETA should stop doing these types of things because they won't be taken seriously. The media doesn't give a damn about the animals, they only care about the 'controversy' having nude women in ads.

Short story: Nobody goes to a porn site to learn about social/environmental/political issues. They go to fap.

But I'm curious Escapees, do you think that any of these ads actually raise awareness?

Peta: they wont stop until animals have more rights than women.

You all know it's true.
Disturbingly, The Onion has developed something weirdly close to your statement, and they somehow did it years before you said it: http://www.theonion.com/video/advocacy-group-decries-petas-inhumane-treatment-of,14359/
