... OK, fine, I'll actually answer it. A ninja. Pirates are awesome and all, but a ninja is faster and more disciplined, and has more technique than a pirate. Plus, the stealthiness of a ninja should come into play. A pirate wouldn't know it was coming until it was already there and gone.

EDIT: And I'm not talking Naruto ninjas. Those aren't ninjas. NINJAS DON'T WEAR ORANGE.

I'm voting Pirate, or I would if there was a poll. Ninja weren't trained for one-on-one honourable fighting. Throw them in a cage and the pirate is going to come out on top. Given a more expansive situation perhaps not, but I want a cage fight damn it.

Ninja would obviously win, they are highly trained, pirates dont have any really training, im pretty sure they dont all go to pirate academy.

This is difficult. Are they fighting one on one, close range? If so, there's a good chance the pirate could win due to their usual high consumption of alcohol, sure it would make them less accurate, but if they got one hit in the ninja would be a goner.
