Prototype is just another Hulk Ultimate Destruction; with a cooler power, set better engine, and the ability to use vehicals, and guns. Strip it down and its just another hulk game. Infamous is my choice because I want something that has not been done this way + its made by Sucker Puch wich made the awesome Sly Cooper series so I am getting Infamous.
"So what? Its just a game using a really good engine from the Hulk game, and adding a dozen improvements everywhere!"
I noticed that its pretty much the Hulk game's engine upgraded too, but whats wrong with that? That game was a blast, and the engine for it was very good. Games use older engines all the time. The team behind Prototype is adding lots of stuff to an already good engine in Prototype.

Both are better? That answer you gave us doesn't agree with your question.
If your talking about the poll, its because he wanted your opinion, not just for you to agree with him.
No with that answer I'm pointing out that the answer has the "subject verb agreement" problem.
Its hard to understand what your trying to discuss. you need to put some commas in your post and fix the grammar. Don't take tha personaly, just fix it.

I say both, but If I had to choose I'd say prototype. Infamous looks clunky when you use your lightning bolts. (You bring your arm up, and its like its stuck there, in that bent position forever. and you run weird)
I don't like the lightning bolt either, but not for the same reason.
He does look awkward aiming with them, but the bigger problem seems to be the lack of damage they produce. in all the videos I've seen of it, the player had to shoot a dozen bolts to kill one guy. Ridiculous.
Oh, and where did you get that name? There was a Penny Arcade comic where Tycho was playing Nintendogs, and he was shouting at his pet who was named Pr. Snugglesworth.

Prototype, in a word, looks sick. Sandbox with superpowers, with no conscience for the public... It's like a fun version of every single Marvel game.

From just looking at the two, I'm leaning towards Prototype. It just looks like an overall more entertaining concept. Infamous looks like the cliched 'one man against the world' concept, and plus the reticule shooter thing has put me off. Plus I don't own a PS3 so I may be biased against Infamous.

From what I've seen of the gameplay, most of the enemies take six or seven lightning bolts to kill which makes the whole superpower thing seem a bit weak.

Prototype, because I think it looks more like an action-adventure, while Infamous looks like a third person shooter with powers. Though i'll probably get both.

It doesn't matter because Prototype was ended. They halted development. I only vote for it because I would rather it be released than infamous.
It was actually picked up by Activision and is gonna be released later this year.

EDIT: I'd go with Prototype, as I think it looks the better of the two.
On topic I hope Activision can make it all that it was hyped up to be!

I'm sorry, but you seem to be confusing the two, or you're just blatantly ignoring all of the rape Mr. Mercer was bringing to New york City, because Prototype is definitely the more "one man against the world" concept...

Anyway, I do agree with you on the reticule thing as inFamous does seem more like a third person shooter which is off-putting a bit since I find third person shooters to be clunky and slow. :[

Both, because I am one of those rich bastards you hear about who actually own a ps3.

VS threads aren't generally well received, just a heads up.
I pick Prototype, because I have a 360.
Same. But VS threads are...ah forget it. They're still new and cannot read.
SNAP!

Sorry you're right. Let me rephrase that. 'One man against the world with weak powers'. I've indeed seen the rape that Mr. Mercer was bringing to New York and while I agree it was awesome he seems like he can handle it. Infamous' main character on the other hand has trouble taking out two gang members, let alone a tank and several helicopters.

Which, for me, means you have to be more tactical (or fall into a power plant). For that reason Infamous has an edge over prototype for me. However, nothing feels quite as good as a rampage. I say both are great for varying reasons.

. . .

Sorry, but basically his post consisted of "Remove the good stuff and you've got a crappy experience"

Wow.

For the last several months I've been under the assumption that they are literally the same game.

That said, I don't find all that much appealing about "run around in an open, empty world and kill shit" sort of games. They tend to get boring after an hour.

prototype is by the same devs as ultimate destruction, which was AWESOME. From what ive seen, they would have to work HARD to screw that up. Infamous looks like fun, but since he only has like, 4 abilities, it seems like it would suffer from assassins creed syndrome. Really fun the first time you play it, but quickly gets repetitive.

prototype for 3 simple reasons. 1. i dont own a ps3 2. HE ELBOW DROPPED A TANK 3. name another game that allows you to steal a soldiers identity, then convince his collegues that ur him and hes the imposter....then the promptly shoot their friend while you walk away to continue sneaking.
