Google Chrome.

Was a battle between Firefox and Chrome for awhile. Each had its strengths and would use them for different situations and places where I would be. But then Chrome got more extension support and the new version just makes everything... faster. Both used to chug a little bit when it came to large-size flash or streaming HD (though, it is a laptop) but since the new update, nothing looks choppy or bad in Chrome. Flash consistently runs smooth, and HD streams as fluid as SD.

Which definitely sold me over.
So while it is my default browser, I still use Firefox for some things, most notably Netflix streaming, which can only be done on Firefox (and IE, but I wont use IE) So until Chrome gets support for that (matter of time) I'll never solely use one browser

Safari Public Beta 4 (Im a windows user.)

Why?

As the tabs are in the top top bar, the bookmarked sites are easy to access and its simplistic.

Nice porn ^^

Also Google Chrome~

it's just so..clean! and easy XD

I primarily use Firefox because of its fantastic addons. I also use chrome for trusted sites because it loads faster.

Chrome, dev version and now canary testing. IE is atrocious, Opera is mediocre and strange, Firefox is nice but slower than chrome, Safari is an IE clone, therefore chrome wins in my books. It has extensions(add-ons if you only know firefox), it has a good tab system, it loads lighting(literally [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCgQDjiotG0]) fast, and it can look very nice if you want it to.

thats funny because firefox is the one that is targeted for getting full of crappy add ons.
You know, I've heard that a lot. But I just don't use any of them.
I know I just posted but I have to quote you for your stupidity. You say chrome has too many addons, then use firefox(a browser with more addons) and say "I just don't use any of them". Allow me to inform you that you are an idiot if you do not see what is wrong with this.

IE gets a lot of crap but i must say 7 and 8 aren't all that bad with decent css support and genrally not slow enough to be that noticeable

the browser that i will hate on next will probably be safari for only supporting h264 in html 5 way to bugger about with open standards even IE is going to support webm

Safari 5.01 (On a Mac) - It works and is nice and nippy so no need to switch.

I used to use IE, but I switched to Firefox because IE had layout issues. For a while I used IEtab because of certain Flash issues on Firefox, but the more recent updates (which coincidentally have made IEtab unusable) have made Flash run more stably in Firefox. I've considered switching to Chrome, but I prefer some of Firefox's add-ons like Add Blocker as well as the ability to be asked if I want to save my tabs when I close the browser. While Chrome has a similar ability, it's a toggle in the options menu, at which point you still don't get that choice when you exit.

;tldr: Firefox, because it's the best for what I do.

Firefox, purely for the add-ons such as Adblock Plus.
Quick remove before Mods see it ... _> gogogo you still have time
It's off on the sites I support. :)
I should add (as I said I used it in my above post), same here. I really only use it for sites I'm unsure about. Escapist is not one of them.

I use the safari adblock extension and had no idea it was bad for good websites! I am fortunately an Escapist Publisher Club Member so it doesn't matter (part of the deal is you get no ads anyway!).

You use I.E? Why would you do that to yourself?
Why are you pointlessly being a dick to someone that has a different personal preference in browsers?

OT: Internet Explorer.

I've tried the others("others" being: Firefox, Opera, and Chrome), but I prefer Internet Explorer.
Not trying to be a dick, just offering my opinion. This is a discussion after all. I am simply curious as to what about IE you find preferable to other browsers.
You said, "You use I.E.? Why would you do that to yourself?". That means you consider Internet Explorer to be some kind of poison or something and harmful to people. That wasn't(or at least doesn't seem to be to me) discussion. That was openly insulting(Seems like it to me) his preference... Possibly.
I was merely attempting to pose my opinions in a somewhat jovial manner (its just how I talk). I apologise if my razor sharp wit cut him.

Chrome
It runs faster than the other browsers and I love actually seeing the entire screen for the website.
