Still, as far as kill satisfaction goes, nothing so far beats headshot-sniping a moving target at a long range, through two windows just as he turns a corner. Well except for sniping out a helichopter driver and watching the chopper go down of course, but that's a lot more luck/persistence based :p
One of the most satisfying things I remember in BFBC2 was during an assault match after the attackers spawn opened up. I ran in planted C4 on their shiny new helo and tank and just waited for them to disappear from my minimap. Then, BOOM!

Yes, sometimes I am a complete and total asshat. But, that was fun.

Fucking Olympia from BLOPS.

So, a bunch of people answered shotguns as requiring skill. Seriously? I pull out the shotgun for when I'm sick of trying and just want to goof off. In MW2 or Black Ops, you put Marathon/Lightweight/Sleight of Hand on and you just sprint around killing anyone who you can get within ten feet of.

I agree more with sniper rifles with bullet drop. Especially because most games that make the snipers account for distance don't do the same for other weapons. I remember using some crappy SMG to gun down a sniper at 100 yards in Bad Company 2 because my bullets weren't affected by gravity.
What you are talking about is pump-action shotguns, which are pretty easy to use at close range. Olympia, however, is double-barrel, meaning that you only get two shots to kill and it takes forever to reload. Hell, even in hardcore i had to manage 1 headshot and 1 body shot in order to kill. If that failed, well, i was boned.

Off topic. Fucking captchas, "london bridge is falling down"? is it trying to tell me something?
Actually, with Sleight of Hand the Olympia is my goto weapon for my sprint class. Those two shots will get most people, and if they don't then I go for the stab. I prefer the Olympia to the pump-action because it reloads relatively quickly. I don't have to hide while I do it.

If we are talking about the 'realistic' kind of FPS, I would say a shotgun, as you need to be able to get up close to the enemy without them seeing you and killing you and obviously killing you, and so you have to make the maximum possible use of the terrain.

Um, I say shotguns, for those of you with probably very distant memories of COD4, you may remember the winchester, a 7 clip, pump-action shotgun with reasonable damage but a range shorter than Beiber's dong.. (apologies if anyone is offended)..

If you could get kills with this gun you were awesome, hell getting digital with it was a sign of true badassery..

I feel that I have been deceived by the thread title... I immediately thought 'Arm Cannon' >.>

So I say Arm Cannon, and to hell with your real-world poll options!

Truthfully I have a hard time deciding on this as it really seems to depend on how you use the weapon, and then different people are more skilled with different weapons.
