Poll: Poll: Why do you like Yahtzee?

He used to be much better than he is currently, I just watch his reviews every once and a while for a quick laugh. No one should use his reviews as actual reviews by any means.

I don't count his as a reviewer that I would go to for an honest opinion, as I don't necessarily have the same taste that he does.
I think he's funny, and a good source of comedic potential.

He brings up good points in his reviews, but he is first and foremost an entertainer, and an excellent one at that. As is pretty much everyone else with a video series on the Escapist.

I like hearing him ramble on about the games he plays. I'm not a very good judge of good/bad/he's not as good as he used to be, etc.
He just makes me chuckle while I waste some time. And that is all I really ask of a webshow.

While he is really, really funny, I go out and get the games he's talking about and his opinions don't seem so far off to me.

To be fair, they were more in-depth before the focus shifted more and more to outright comedy, rather than a comedy/journalism blend. The Fable review basically details (in brief) his entire playthrough of the game. I can respect that.

and he hasnt reviewed any games that i am fan of and for some reason i doubt he will

I love when reviews a game I played before because most of the time the reviews are much more hilarious if you have played the game and know what hes talking about, since he doesnt show any gameplay footage. In short though I watch his reviews for laughs but not for a serious opinion on what games are worth my money.

He makes me laugh and he's guaranteed to point out even a great game's flaws that other reviewers gloss over or ignore entirely. But mostly because he's funny, since his taste in games and mine are at opposite ends of the gaming spectrum.

I am, unfortunately, a snob when it comes to entertainment so I tend to agree with him on a lot of issues, except for the very odd "this was too hard," critique. I kind of believe that Yahtzee isn't very good at games.
