Well I'm not really sure of the distinction here. Is it pretty meaning that their looks are cute and hot meaning more sexual? In which case a bit of both. Either or on their own are also good.
Or as some people say, pretty is a nice face while hot is a good body? I'd go for face first and foremost.
Or as everyone else says, where pretty is their personality, and hot being purely physical?
A large dose of the first, but I really can't ignore the second.
I kinda do want it all...

Generally pretty. Of course, I do like a girl to have a nice body and figure as well, but more often than not I prefer the face rather than the breasts. Personality and general attractiveness as a person is always important too, though, so yeah... overall though, in terms of looks, always 'pretty' rather than 'hot'.

Completely off-topic, but fuck the term "Justin Beiber" hair. My hair constantly gets compared to his even though it's what my hair looks like naturally. I wake up in the morning, shower, and go on with my day (no combing or blow drying). Hell it should be called *name redacted* hair, cause I'm older than him.

I'm sorry but I laughed pretty hard after reading this. My friends and I actually usually call them "douche mops" because they're famously worn by a set out douche bags at our school, I just though the term "Justin beiber hair" would be more widely understood. That's also why it's in quotation marks.

This was brought up in part by a conversation I had with a friend of mine.

Wow dude, you miss understood. I mean I can appreciate a "hot" girls hotness, but if I'm looking for a relationship I'd rather the "pretty" girl. "Hotness" (to me) is simply physical, which wouldn't be enough for me in a relationship of any seriousness.

'Hot' people's looks are ones that, in my opinion, tend to fad as they get older.
'Beautiful' people tend to only get more and more beautiful as they grow older. Aging beauty is always the best.

The guys/girls who marry hot people are normally sad when their partner is 40 and doesn't have the hotness he/she had before.

I voted hot, because hot to me is not a either/or thing but a rank.
There are pretty girls and then there are hot Girls, I think everyone can relate.
There are girls who make you smile when they walk by, and then there are women who drop your jaw. Hot is the latter. It's not about huge boobs or rock hard abs, but rather the entire package. To me, someone who is "hot" is a cut above the rest. An exceptionally good looking person. Pretty is a milder tier than hot, but designates above average good looks. For me, no question. Hot comes first.
