That thing was released on the brink of the Saturn's release. Might as well have been a different console.sneak_copter said:For god's sake though, do support the hardware.
Anybody remember the 32X? Yeah, I'm sorry for tarnishing your memories.

Just to throw a metaphorical cat amongst the pigeons, how are motion controls going to develop into something better if no one is using them except the Wii?buy teh haloz said:Is it a good idea to introduce it right now? No. No. Not at all. Give Motion Controls time to grow into something much better. Where developers can use motion controls to a great advantage for shooters, fighting games, driving games, RPG titles, Horror titles, and action titles, rather than something reserved for gimmicky shovelware. I believe that when motion controls materialize into something greater, that is when Project Natal should hit the spotlight.
That's just my two cents anyway.
Actually, I never thought of that. What would happen if you like, abused it? Like, you took off your clothes and Natal scanned it or something?Mazty said:Project Natal is trying to cease the casual gamer market, which isn't a market, it's a one trick pony which Nintendo have satisfied.
Plus the Sony motion is better in every way as it's a camera and two controllers. Just check ut Eyepets to see how MS are already behind in the competition.
Also, a virtual little boy as a friend? That's just wierd, and the option to have a little girl...well just hop on over to 4chan to see what that bastion of morality and intelligence thinks of that idea....

The SixAxis counts, right?nilcypher said:Just to throw a metaphorical cat amongst the pigeons, how are motion controls going to develop into something better if no one is using them except the Wii?buy teh haloz said:Is it a good idea to introduce it right now? Because this will suck as much as the eyetoy.Gerazzi said:hmmm...
why am I reminded of the Eyetoy?
Guitar Hero's a different type of game. One requires that specific controller for the gameplay. The other utilizes a regular controller and traditional control scheme.mspencer82 said:Natal is a peripheral that adds some new features to the 360, and it's completely optional (unlike the Wii which was built around motion controls). Sure, but the fact that Sony have brought out a Wii-Mote of their own suggests that the SixAxis wasn't quite what they wanted their motion controls to be.buy teh haloz said:The SixAxis counts, right?
Probably won't. Nintendo's just going to shit out peripherals to be on top of the game, sooooo yeah..BlueMartian said:I dunno, those soccer moms are getting pretty bored with Wii Fit....

Thank you.mspencer82 said:Another year, another E3, another round of games, and another group of doom forecasters. *yawn*
It's funny, I saw the same Natal presentation as everyone else but I can't seem to remember the part that everyone else seems to have heard, the part about Microsoft doing away with traditional controllers. Actually, one thing I do remember is something about how Natal would work with all the current versions of the Xbox 360, and all of the future versions of it. You know what else works with the 360? A controller.

Sure, the Natal is probably going to attract some shovelware like the good old Wii, but that doesn't mean developers are going to stop making controller based games. There may be a few that can be controlled by both. Who knows? Maybe some really great games will come out of this and Sony's magic wand thing, but give them both a chance rather than getting all huffy about a couple of tech demos.
Calm down, Chicken Little, the sky isn't falling.
How? As far as I can tell, Milo still requires programming to respond to what he is seeing, and what is going on. Do you really think Microsoft is going to allow for anything even close to that? If you get naked in front of it, I doubt it's going to react. They will never show Milo naked either, so what could a pedophile possibly do that he can't do already by watching nickelodeon?Mazty said:Yeah, on the surface it's a good idea, but as it's been brought up, it could really, really be abused by the morally sick.buy teh haloz said:Actually, I never thought of that. Yes. I still want to read my virtual newspaper.Grampy_bone said:The Natal demo reminds me of the Half-Life 2 E3 demo, or the Killzone 2 "actual game footage" demo.
Recall that at E3 2006 Nintendo had ACTUAL GAMES to play with the Wiimote. Sony and Microsoft have produced bupkis thus far.
Does anyone remember Microsoft Surface?
You forgot another fanboy war aswell.....just had t point that out sorrymspencer82 said:Another year, another E3, another round of games, and another group of doom forecasters. *yawn*
