Sometimes I do, but normally it doesn't matter how many times I read through something - my terrible spelling is awful. Also I normally only spot mistakes after I post something, annoyingly

I pretty much always proofread, but that's mostly the fault of a crazy forum where anyone without PERFECT spelling and grammar gets permabanned... <--- They hate ellipses, awkward phrasing, ANY chatspeak, minorspelling or capitalization errors, and emotes O__O;;; and nearly every time I post there it's all like, "BLEARGH I hope I proofread properly!"

Also, it's just useful to proofread. It helps one avoid terrible typos.

I tend to proofread anything longer than one line. I do what I can considering I suck at grammer and spelling...and I can never help but put in ellipses sometimes and think nothing of it

I try my best to have some in there. Not always able to, because I was one that was able to pass high school and college English without ever learning grammar. All I know is threw trail and error. I think it is the main reason why I have the problem of using fragments a great amount of the time. Though that is why I have a great love for grammar nazi and that Firefox has a spell cheek in it.

Only place I proofread is on the Short Stories Thread. Otherwise, if I make a mistake I'll spot it as I type or when I read my post afterwards. However, with the Short Stories thread, my posts were done in Microsoft Word Processor beforehand so I already know they're grammatically correct and so on...

I always poofread. It's only prudent to make sure every single mistake is accounted for and dealt with in an orderly fashion.

I'm used to getting attacked by grammar Nazis so i usually, if not always, proofread my posts.

I proof read when doing bigger posts, but I won't proof read small posts unless I have a feeling someone will be offended by it.

If it wasn't for that squiggly little red line underneath my horrible mistakes I wouldn't be able to post :p

It would just be an embarrisment :p

(Even though Chrome is telling me I spelt embarrisment wrong but Im fairly sure its right...)

I proofread large posts only, but I fail at it so I keep editing in small chunks. When I was still on some Dutch science forum, I could edit a single post for 15 minutes at a time, each time adding new information and filtering out mistakes in either spelling, argumentation or information.

School assignments, short forum posts and chatlines. I never proofread those things. If I don't pick something up while writing it, it goes through. Forum posts I usually read a few times after I post them and edit stuff.

However longer rants, reviews and such things on the internet I check quite a few times.

I only occasionally proof-read. I always proof-read reviews however.

I'd like to say "Always", but sometimes things slip through. I voted "Sometimes", but perhaps "Almost always" would be better...

Besides, I'll re-read a post after I've posted it, and then edit it if I spot something.

I proofread often, but sometimes I'll miss things such as a typo or a different version of a word (there, their, they're).

I watch what I type while I'm typing it, so I don't have the need to go back and make corrections. Much simpler that way.

I proof read EVERYTHING.

From text messages to MSN/AIM messages.
