(Even though Chrome is telling me I spelt embarrisment wrong but Im fairly sure its right...)

I do, the majority of the time. Though realistically, I'm arrogant enough to assume I got it right the first time I tried! My spelling suffers for that arrogance, but I am wordy enough that any mistakes tend to get ignored whilst people try to figure out why I have such a mental hard on for the world 'thus'.

I scan through my post for typos and other obvious mistakes, but I rarely change anything major, because my sentences rarely have any sense whatsoever.

I always poofread. It's only prudent to make sure every single mistake is accounted for and dealt with in an orderly fashion.

I'm a proofreader by trade, so not only do I proofread everything I write, I also mentally proofread everything all of you write!

I re-read most of my entries before posting them, then go back and re-read them when they're posted, and often enough I'll make an edit. Occasionally I'll make two or three edits, when it's a comment I feel strongly about. I've been known to edit a comment more than a day after I posted it.

I (at the very least) quickly go over everything I post. If it's a long-winding post, I'll usually be a little more thorough to make sure I iron out any mistakes.

I sorta proof-read. Mostly I try to make sure I did not trail off as I do often, and also that what I said I actually feel important enough to have it said and read publicly. I have almost 400 posts now, but I would be closer to 500 if I always posted what I wrote. Ive even wrote long responses, felt it not important enough to post and just went on to new topics. As you can tell. I felt this stuff worthy this time around.

People with horrid spelling, who obviously SPEAK the English language well enough, but can't be assed to learn how to write (or similarly, and especially, those who write in forums like it were a multiplayer chatline during a huge firefight, or God forbid, a CELLPHONE) piss me off beyond all reason.

I made a personal vow to never be like them, so I proofread everything live for spelling mistakes (if I notice a word gone wrong, I wont wait to fix it), then reread for grammatical errors.

For Heaven's SAKE kiddies! You have MUCH more than a fraction of a second to type, on a full-sized QWERTY keyboard, you have time to print a couple extra letters.

Summary: "U" IS NOT A WORD! TYPE IT OUT!

I always proof read work and stories. I proof read forum posts 90% of the time, generally I don't if it's just a sentence. I don't know if that sounds right...
