It feels like most DLC is just a way to nickel and diming by take stuff off the game and selling it later just to make more money.
By the looks of your avatar lemme guess dlc is crap besides the fall out 3 dlc? Dlc is fine for me it actually serves a very good purpose. dont want it dont get it.LazyReaper777 said:It feels like most DLC is just a way to nickel and diming by take stuff off the game and selling it later just to make more money.
That ain't news, and as long as people will be buying it, they'll keep making it, it's not like xyz corporation really cares about what you feel, they only care about what you buy.LazyReaper777 said:It feels like most DLC is just a way to nickel and diming by take stuff off the game and selling it later just to make more money.
Me too! Im really OCD about my achievements, and those just really bug me.Lord Kodous said:I don't like the DLC that adds new achievements even if you don't buy/download the new content.
You answer you're own question with the way most people are going to answer anyways. Yes plenty of DLC is just whoring for money "Horse Armor" but some of it adds real value to a product and is worth the price of admission such as the Borderlands DLC.LazyReaper777 said:It feels like most DLC is just a way to nickel and diming by take stuff off the game and selling it later just to make more money.
Because the original game didn't have those features, they added it later after release time to give players more to do if they choose. You're not making much of a case I'm afraid, especially with Fallout 3.LazyReaper777 said:Is $60 enough for a game or not? Plus all of fallout 3's DLC should be on the origanal game. Why should I pay for a map pack or a difficulty level. It now feels like I'm buying 70% or 80% of a game. Why should people with out online get have to pay more answer that.
I didn't have to pay for any of the day one DLC for that(or at least I don't think I had to, same with ME2, as long as you got it new)Zarokima said:DLC is fine when done right, like with Fallout 3: That was a full game with 40+ hours of gameplay, and even the worst of its DLC still added a good few hours of new stuff. What I absolutely hate is when they take stuff out just to have it as DLC, like any and all day 1 DLC (I'm looking at you, Dragon Age).
just to let you in on it, bioware(i guess its EA technically?) does the Day 1 dlc to try and get gamers to have some incentive on buying games new rather than used, (they did this with mass effect 2 also) you get it for free with the game instead of buying the game used and possibly having to pay for it if you really wanted it.Zarokima said:DLC is fine when done right, like with Fallout 3: That was a full game with 40+ hours of gameplay, and even the worst of its DLC still added a good few hours of new stuff. True enough, but you're comparing a 30$+ expansion pack with a 7$ DLC...versoth said:Expansion packs, in the past, have had more value than current DLC.JRShield said:Don't care, if I want it, I'll buy it. If I don't, I won't.
Just be glad they make DLC, else you have to buy expansion packs :x
Adding one character and one mission is absolutely laughable.
You want a real expansion pack? Check out the Total War series.
Entirely new friggin games. From Rome there was Barbarian Invasions (new time period, new factions, new units, new strategies, all new) and Alexander, which felt so different it felt like you just bought a new game.
I want that. Not bullshit.
