It's too bad I don't own a PS3 or I'd be rooting for inFamous. As it stands, I'll give Prototype a rent on 360 when it's released.

You gotta admit Booze Zombie, the boy does have a point, Prototype does look a bit on the HULK side.
This is bad, because...?

Most games I look forward to turn out horrifically mediocre - Legendary for example is the most recent one. So no, I am not looking forward to prototype *winks*.

Obviously, when you talk about Prototype you have to talk about InFamous.

Personally, I'm more leaning toward InFamous as my game, Prototype I'm really not sure. All it looks like to me is a bunch of explosions and killing for no reason, and while that's not bad perse, it doesn't seem to me that it has any sustince in it. With InFamous however, there's a more engaging storyline and a morality system that, while I absolutely hate how they implemented it, does change up what goes on and happens adding to the overall package of it.

Don't get me wrong, Prototype looks great, but I'm not really sure I'd enjoy it as much as I'd think I would.

There is a story.

Also, the morality system in inFamous is so generic I'd rather it weren't there. Perhaps they could've kept rolling with the electricity theme and had positive, negative and neutral "charges", in turn effecting your elecrity powers like the real life meanings of the words?

Yes, Prototype is mainly about killing people, but there are very few games these days that aren't. But no, it is not mindless violence. The whole point of the story is that you wake up with these powers with no memory of who you were and you go through the whole game trying to figure that out and get even with whoever screwed you over in the first place.

I get there's a story. Yeesh. Personally I find the whole "no memory of who you are" thing kind of cliche. But then again, so is InFamous when you wake up with these mysterious powers.

The trailer(s) that I've see showcased mainly the brutal kills, hell the 10 reasons to buy Prototype all involved killing and destroying.

Now I'm afraid that I'm going to get a legion of Prototype fans yelling at me for prefering InFamous............(not saying eithre of you two are)

Well, the trailers are just that, trailers. They're meant to impress and excite, you're hardly going to do that by presenting a thoughtful story about morality and love.

You don't have to do the mindless killing...Or so I've heard.

Theres a bit of an RPG element where you pick your destiny, for all you know. You could just spend all your time siding with the Military and the Authorities and taking out the Virus.

Then theres the "Fuck that shit up" method.

And no doubt theres some in between.

Actually, I'm looking forward to both Infamous and Prototype for different reasons. I'm looking forward to Infamous because it's being made by the same people who did the Sly Cooper series (which was some of the most fun I've ever had on my PS2), and I'm looking forward to Prototype because of the highly stylized combat and dark storyline. Unfortunately, Infamous is only coming out on PS3 (which I don't have, but really, really want to get) and so my enthusiasm for it is watered somewhat since the only way I'm every going to get to experience it is by going to a friend's house or watching the cinematics on YouTube. Whereas Prototype is coming to PCs as well as consoles, so I can actually get a chance to enjoy Prototype on my own in my way and in my own time.

True, InFamous looks to have a better story, but Prototype looks a hell of a lot more fun.

With InFamous' combat looks a bunch of walking around going *zap zap zap* Sure, you can control where you zap, metal affects the zapping, but it doesn't compare to the freedom and over-the-top action of Prototype.

The parkour aspect in Infamous looks fun, but Prototype's look funner.

Of course, we comparing two games that haven't even come out yet, so we'll just have to wait and see.

The thing is though, we're comparing two very similar games, but at the same time they're very different. I really don't want to debate which one is "funner" (*coughmorefuncough*) because they're extremely similar to one another but their play style is also very different.

So can I just say that I'm prefering InFamous for now?

Go ahead and say that. But when you play Prototype and like it, "I fucking called it".

Okay, fine, whatever, jeez. I never said Prototype looks like crap, and if my friend gets it I'll most likely borrow it from him an hopefully I will enjoy it. You guys turned this arguing thing from nothing, calm down and stop being an ass.

I never said I wouldn't like Prototype, I just said I'm prefering InFamous right now.

I know, but when Prototype bowls you over, I called it, all I'm saying.
No need to get all insulting.

I'm getting annoyed. The keep on delaying to torque up the graphics. I'm really looking forward to this game but if they keeping making the graphics better, I might not be able to play it.
June's a set date, they're done delaying it. They're just finishing up getting rid of the bugs, I hear.
I'm not annoyed at them delaying it. I'm just afraid if they make the graphics too good, my PC wont be able to run it.
i think this game would be played better on a console anyway with the controller and all. well... thats how i feel since my pc is a bucket of S"£$ i have to play it on the ps3 anway besides the 360 is cheaper then the psp right now..well in ireland it is anyway

You came off as insulting to me, sorry for that misunderstanding.

Hopefully Prototype will bowl me over, why would I want to play a game that I wouln't enjoy? ;D No need to "call" anything, hopefully you'll be right and I'll like Prototype. Doesn't change the fact that I'm not |-|AI3PED up about it though.
