What I am hoping for is an open world where I can do anything that is hectic and evil. I'm not holding my breath for the story to be good. Amnesia, government conspiracy, virus, I've heard them all before.

I have been looking forward to this game for two years. It looks great for sandbox play and the story seems interesting.
I know I've already posted saying I will get this but I'm just really excited about it. It just looks so cool and the guy you play as isn't one of those ridiculous heroes with two blades that owns demons and thinks they're awesome. This time you play as the demon going around hijacking helicopters, bludgeoning people and stealing their identities. *psychoface*

Supposedly, yes. However, and don't take this as me trying to flame you or anything because the last thing I want is to start a flame war, I quite know how well a game like [Prototype] would work on a computer. It just doesn't seem compatible with the control scheme, but then again.
Dude, it would be so kick ass if this game had multiplayer. Imagine two Alex Mecers just rampaging around. They'd be fucking INVICIBLE!

My view after watching that....tasteful trailer is that it looks like a kid tried to make an adults game. So much uneeded blood, gore and rocket launchers. I mean, i like blood and gore, but everyone will get over poorly textured blood effects no matter how much there is pretty quickly. And the "Cool, i can kill EVERYTHING!" effect generally goes away after a few hours as well. It looks as though GTA 4 met assassin's creed for one wild night and this is their illegitimate love child.

"Oh look at that i can quick-time-event (yay...) my way into a chopper! And a tank! And I explode tentacles out my everywhere!".... Hooray....
In short; graphics are generally unimpressive, character (bar the tentacles) looks generic and spouts lines like "Thats you done." in a murmur that is louder than the tank exploding in the back ground and longevity seems non-existent.
Look i would love for this game to be awesome, it has promise, but from what i've seen, no i am not looking forward to it.

And after reading through this thread and noting that there is a general trend concerning people being shut down for posting anti-"Oh i want it so bad" comments, that i would like to say this: We have as much right to post things that don't glorify this game as people who post praise for it. more power to everyone for posting their opinions, just remember everyone has a different opinion.

Just saw a gameplay video on one of the bonus discs you get when subscribing to Xbox 360 Magazine and my anticipation has risen so much more now. You guy (Alex) starts off in the city (no duh) jumps up and punches the ground to make the spikes shoot out of the floor killing citizens, then he runs up a building, jumps up in the air, glides for a while, then boards a tank and then drives over everyone shooting. ARGH I just can't wait to start bringing the pain!
