Poll: Ps3 Fail

Hey escapist, just wondering if getting MW2, putting it into the PS3 and then getting the Yellow Light of Death is an issue or just bad luck? Anyone else have problems with MW2?

It's not happened to my mates, so it was probably just a faulty disk.

You would start linking the two together if you already had to have the PS3 repaired once for the 800-something (had to send it off) on the first time you load up World at War, or would you just ignore that without checking the link. You had one problem and started a thread bashing the console. If you wanted advice you should have politely asked for it. But again, you didn't.

Could it be a firmware issue? I'd read that some firmware updates were crashing PS3's and I know that sometimes when I get a game for my 360 it asks me to update the second I put the disc in.

If you read the OP, he doesn't bash the PS3 at all. He quite politely asked if he was having bad luck, or if there was some sort of connection. That's all.

I remember the GTA 4 and PS3 failure... not that it happened to everybody but the claims did come out. Besides that, maybe your PS3 was a time bomb and now was the time to go. My blu-ray failed when I bought Bioshock, pretty sure that was juat a coincidence.

0.01% My ass, there is NO WAY they are that stable, who told you that? I bet if was Sony. One in ten thousand?

That's like saying: "Oh you're console broke? Well, let us take this opportunity to tell you how awesome we are, only .01% break!"

Thats Sony's style, I remember the GameInformer article, when asked why PS3 sales are low, the VP (I think VP) answered: "The problem is with society in general...."

They can never admit fault, at least Microsoft does admit the RRoD is a problem (even if it is a ludicrously large one) There is something to be said for that
