Poll: PS3 or 360 get?

Now, this is not about whether the Ps3 or 360 is better. It is not about which one you have. It is about which one I should by. I am primarily a PC elitist, but when my rig is down or I am just bored, I have only my Wii to entertain me. Now, I have called upon you, my fellow escapists to help me. Slim, or Elite?

I have a HD TV, and a Blu ray player.
I will play most multiplatform titles like MW2 or Singularity on PC for obvious reasons.

EDIT: From my individual research, PS3 seems to have many more exclusives. I think it was 50 or something. If you are talking about exclusives (which I reccomend) name names or give me a definite list please.

I own both an Xbox 360 and a PS3. From my experiences, I would say the PS3 is probably the safer decision, reliability-wise. Check and see if any of the games tickle your fancy.

If you're a PC elitist go for the PS3. The 360 has a good games library but a lot of its exclusive games can be attained on the PC unlike the PS3's. Well at least that's what I've noticed.

Either is good, just check out the exclusives and which you would prefer.

I have a 360 so I can play with my friends but PS3 seems to have better exclusives, but Xbox has better online play....

If you get a PS3 don't get a slim, maybe buy a used one for the backward compatability.

I have, well, had, both, and I say get the PS3.
It's actually cheaper for the same spec than an Xbox 360, and it does plenty of other cool stuff too. The Blu-Ray Player seals the deal. Out of interest, why sis you get a stand alone Blu-Ray player when you could have had the PS3 for £50 more?

I slightly prefer the Xboxs exclusive titles, but I've been so badly treated my Microsoft since my 360 RROD'd I cannot recommend their product. It's flawed by design and shouldn't have been sold by them in that state, certainly not for 3 years!

At this point they are pretty much the same. It all comes down to what you prefer in a console, perhaps you prefer Xbox live and are interested in some 360 exclusives or maybe the PS3's hardware specs, blu-ray capabilites, and free internet are more your thing.

Your version with the halo 3 and Fable 2. I got that for my b day this year. some dude at gamestop told me they dont make them anymore.

I own both, and I wish I wasn't lured into buying a 360 by the sexual temptations in those Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 trailers. I've got a 60gig PS3, and I play it so much more. I try to avoid buying 360 games these days, only getting Rock Band and Guitar Hero games for the system whenever I can.

I'm on my third 360. I'm on my first every other console I've ever owned.

I'd say the PS3 Slim has more value than a 360, so get that.

I went with the 360 because it had more games that tickled my fancy. Though, I do sometimes long to continue my love of Metal Gear Solid, but as of now the 360 is fine. I don't see many faults with the PS3. I'm not into the whole blueray thing, and the online aspects of the 360 are easy to manage and are not to overtly complicated.

Edit: forget the 360 Elite. A bigger hard drive and a black case are not worth the money. Most likely you will never fill the hard drive on the regular 360.

As said in the countless other threads just liek this: get what (most of) your friends has, so you can borrow games form each other and play togeather online.

The only reason I'd get a PS3 is twofold: Valkyria Chronicles and Linger in Shadow, and Linger in Shadow isn't even really a game. Meanwhile, I can list at least ten games that would justify the purchase of a 360. It's just got a larger and more diverse library.

get both systems if ya can but ps3 slim has no bc so it might cost ya more if ya got to buy a ps2 , xbox360 has bc for some games
