I'm not a fan.
And that's a two-way street.
I just don't like pubic hair in general.

If I was with a lover, I'd ask her to shave the downstairs clean.
Don't worry though, if she asks the same in return, I'd do it in a jiffy.

I, probably just like them, hate the irritation when it starts to grow back.
Heck, I'd remove it permanently... if there was a way that is completely safe. (I haven't researched anything, so I have no idea if there is or not. After all, I have no one and I'm a patient virgin, lol.)

No hair below my eyebrows and I prefer to same on a man. I don't want a mouth full of hair, and he appreciates the extra attention he receives for keeping himself clean shaven. I want to taste smooth, clean skin, not get a hairball. I have dated men who didn't shave it all however, they just missed out on the "extra attention". I wouldn't date a guy with facial hair however, that is even more gross when the pubes are on their face. That is all I see when I see a beard.. nappy pubes on their face. YUCK. It makes me gag a bit just thinking about it( Yes I actually do find facial hair that repulsive). It is definitely a turn off for guys to be unshaven.

Once had a real funny experience where I went out with a girl, really good looking, raven black hair. Things go really well, and after two dates we end up at her place, things heat up, I slip off her panties, and there it is, redder than the fires of hell, I doubled over in surprise, why the hell would any natural redhead dye her hair? Unsurprisingly I didn't get laid that night.

Afterthought, I once sneezed on a girl because her hair tickled my nose, apparently snot isn't sexy.
I once encountered a young lady with very oddly groomed pubes.

I think she was aiming for something like a landing strip. However something had gone wrong along the way and what she'd ending up with, well... it could only be described as resembling a large Hitler mustache.

Of course, once that image entered my mind it wasn't leaving any time soon so I just kept giggling my head off every time I looked at her crotch. Which of course brought proceedings to a stumbling halt while she demanded explanations.

She was mildly offended when I pointed out the resemblance, but once I'd pointed it out she couldn't un-see it either.

That sounds hilarious. I don't entirely understand why someone would only shave some of their pubes, unless it's for a fetish, or something.

I'm more of you point of view. Since my daughter was born I'm more turned off by the full bald look. I guess my brain has re-wired itself.
I've always preferred the well-maintained landing strip though. I've run the gamut and that's what I've settled on. That said I'd much rather hairless than full on hairy.

Okay, let's get one thing clear before this goes any further: without pubes, oral sex is essentially impossible; you are, at best, tonguing disembodied genitals. "Pubes" are not hair. "Pubes" are what the hair grows on. The equivalent would be referring to the things atop your head as "scalps".

That said, it's hair. Just hair. The main difference between it and the stuff on your head (maximum length aside) is that it attracts a different kind of lice. You folks seem pretty moderate about it; I've seen pubic hair as a topic raise passions that put even "which way does the toilet paper hang" in the shade.

Seriously? Things like broader shoulders (for men) and wider hips (for women) aren't good enough indicators? Slightly off-topic, but I've always found the argument that "people who like shaved are secretly pedophiles!" incredibly silly, since there's far more changes that happens to a person's body after they go through puberty than simply growing some extra hair. Shaving this hair off makes someone look like a child about as much as putting on a top hat makes you look exactly like an Victorian English gentleman.
Exactly? No, of course not. It certainly is suggestive of it, however, and that's all that WinterWyvern said. Nothing at all about those who feel differently being pedophiles. No need to get defensive.

Getting back on topic: personally, I don't really care either way. Not to be crude, but if I'm that close to another person, it's not the hair I'm looking at. However- at the age of fifteen, I finally gave into my mother's insistence and shaved my beard. The next three days made me vow never to do it again. The first day, the itching (note to those who don't know: having a beard doesn't itch. Not having one (or rather, the hair growing in when you don't) does) was so awful I stayed home from school to keep my face in a bowl of icewater while I breathed through a straw. I went to school the next two, but had to reapply a coat of heavily mentholated oil to my face every twenty minutes to keep from scratching it so hard it bled. The idea of making someone else do that to their crotch makes perfect sense to me, provided that you're doing so as a form of torture. To someone you're supposed to actually LIKE, it baffles me. I guess some people just aren't on board with the whole "mammal" thing.

Bush or no bush! Fuck it! I'll even role-play that "you" have/don't have pubes even if "you" don't/do have pubes!! My tongue can take it! My mouth can take it! My throat needs a cough drop, but it can still take it with the condom ON FLEEK, yo!!!

But seriously, I don't think I would care unless there's more than hair in that "jungle" if you know what I mean...

I prefer my ladyfriends to be without hair, though I won't object against a bit of bush. As long as it's well trimmed and such. What I'm saying is that I'm not picky, but I want to be able to find what I'm looking for.

As for myself: I keep myself trimmed, but I feel that if I shaved completely, it wouldn't match the rest of me.

I put "it's complicated" because there was no option for naturally (obviously not completely) hairless men...

I am starting to realize OP meant just pubes and not body hair in general...

If that's the case, then, hell ya not shaven! If a man has some hair, I prefer him to keep it rather than shave. Stubble anywhere but the face throws me off worse than some hair. Trimming is always a bonus.

Sure your junk looks bigger with no hair, but you also look 12! A 12 y.o. with a big package is just... disturbing. If the guy was hot enough I suppose it wouldn't matter, but part of me would still feel weird about it.

Edit: Also if your junk is big enough, you don't really need help? You know what I mean? ;)

I did say "off-topic". His post just reminded me of this silly argument. Certainly, shaved is more "youthful" but c'mon, you compared humans to our ape cousins? We look more like their babies than we do their adults. Clearly humans have have preferences for youthful traits since forever.

I like MY girl just as how she is. SHe doesn?t trim or shave and it looks lovely. And not once when I have been going down on her has a hair stuck on my mouth. As for me I don't care. But she likes me hairy so hairy I stay.
Thank God at least someone is fine with people just maintaining their own body hair. I think pubes look lovely, they're soft, it's nice to run your hand through them and bounce off them, and they define the pubic region in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Obviously I understand if people are uncomfortable with a jungle that spreads to the knees, but a nice furry mons is a beautiful thing. And a pube or two in the teeth is really no big deal.

I've always found the preference for less or no hair to be slightly--- peculiar bordering on disturbing as a trend? Particular with people who seem to be almost disgusted by pubic hair. I think that's rather sad, too, if they not only can't appreciate diversity, but can't appreciate a human body closer to 'nature' as opposed to one obsessively interfered with and maintained.

As for me? I think pubic hair on a woman makes a woman look, well, womanly, and I think completely shaved often looks bizarre and just plain wrong. And overly defined geometric trimming just make me think of landscaping... or Edward Scissorhands.

As for men? Male genitals look rather ridiculous as it is, so there's not a lot you can do with that thing (oo er). Ultimately, it can be attractive enough just trimmed, but as with women, I'm fine with whatever someone rocks as long as it's their choice and they're hygienic.

While I'm not quite as vehement as "hairy filth out of my face", that's what I picked, because I prefer shaved when possible. For me and my partner.

Though trimmed is fine too, just not an untamed mass.

I'm ambivalent towards female pubic hair. Men, on the other hand, should really have as much hair as possible hiding their genitals at all time.

The title of the thread states it's about pubic hair. People speaking within that context don't need to be told what pubes are.

However....

That said, it's hair. Just hair.
It's hair you might actually gag on, for one. I mean, to use your previous example, I have rarely (if ever) licked a lover's scalp.

I'm not going to reply, since I don't feel like sharing that on the escapist. But I just want to say, this is the fourth time I've seen a thread on this exact topic on this site since I've been here. And I just find that so odd for some reason that people think to ask this question on a gaming website.
