Those were also a ***** to do for me, a few years ago.
Now I can do about a 10 in a row, before getting exausted. Also they are not wide-grip pull-ups. So yeah... I´m as weak as a little girl.

I can't remember the last time I tried, possibly during elementary school. I doubt I was able to actually pull off one, let alone multiple pull-ups. I find that even push-ups are difficult.

I have decent leg muscles, but my upper-arm strength is severely lacking. Unfortunately, I just don't seem to have the stamina needed for building said strength up to a higher level, nor much opportunity to visit a gym or somewhere else that could allow me to do so.

Despite the fact that I never do anything I don't find sit-ups, push-ups or pull-ups that hard, I just can't lift a lot of weight.

I can do a lot of pushups, and I'm pretty good with squats, but pullups are a beast. Actually, it was chinups, and my biceps suck, so maybe that was it. I once could do two in a row, and no bananas on that anymore -- I need to get back into shape in the upper body department.

My lat pulldown is at 100 lbs -- I think I could do 110 if I really tried -- so I'm slowly approaching body weight at 150. When I hit that, it's let's-try-pullups time.

They're pretty easy, though they tire me quickly so I can only do perhaps 5 pullups before I'm beat. Then again I haven't been to the gym in ages so that's to be expected anyway. Thankfully I have a fairly decent genetic composition so I don't really lose all of my muscle mass when I don't go to the gym regularly.

Havent done any in years but back when I used to work at a builders merchants there was a bar (iron bar not drinks bar) above the counter that I could just about reach if I jumped high enough so if it was quiet and I had nothing to do I used to see how many one armed pull ups I could do before I got knackered or the next customer came in (or the boss spotted me messing about).

Dont know how many it was now though that was many a year ago but I dont think I would be too bad as I started training again when I was 20 after being disgusted at my deterioration in ability to do push ups and sit ups and can now do more than I could in my teens by quite a wide margin.

I have almost no muscles, but I'm also quite underweight, so I can do pull ups easily, but it wouldn't exactly help my muscles build up if I did xP

I do pull ups all the time on Autumn/Spring mornings... I live across the road from a park, and those misty mornings when nobody walks their dog or hangs about, i go out for a walk, and i end up doing pull ups on all the football goalposts as i walk 'round.

I do casually lift weights quite often as well, so theyre quite easy. I weigh 90~kg, and can do 10 or so in one go, depending on how tired i am in the morning.

Its an exercise i often forget about because i cant do it in the comfort of my room.

I could since I weigh next to nothing and a 14 year old girl can carry me.
That is strangely specific :p.
It's strangely specific because it happened, it was my cousin she just wanted to show me a drawing she'd made and I told her I was too tired so she just picked me up and carried me there, I would have done something about it but I was too shocked to react I mean I thought stuff like that wouldn't happen ever since I became tall but apparently I still weigh nothing kind off odd considering I'm 1.9 meter tall (6.2 Ft) and the fact that I can eat an entire buffet, I guess I'm just magic, maybe I'm an elf and that's why I weigh nothing or something like that.
That was awfully nice of her. If you ever see her again, tell her I said that :p. I always thought that tall people tended to be thinner and weighed less. Well, not always but as a rule of thumb

Ah yes, the pull-up. That's the big thing that separates the Physical Fitness Test for the Marines and the Army.

In the Marines that portion of the test is 100% at 20 pull-ups (fingers forward... no sissy chin-ups in my Corps.)

Gives the back muscles a good beating
And thank god, I say. I'll do push ups and sit ups all day long, but I hate doing pull ups. Don't know why, since my back is my favorite body part to do in the gym.

I can do 20 dead-hang chin ups in a row, normally. About 10 Wide grip overhand pulls.

Well I guess it was, I'll be sure to tell her when I see her again not that I'm looking forward to it she's awfully clingy, though to be fair it would only be logical to her that she was still able to do it, I mean if she could do it when I was 17 and she was 11 there was no reason she couldn't do it now, though back then she was actually taller than me and she wasn't that tall for an 11 year old, but still if she could do it then it's not that odd that she can still do it, still a good example of how light I am and how weak I am since I can't do pull ups.[sub][sub]Spaghetti arms[/sub][/sub]

No need to put yourself down :). Being weak and light isn't a bad thing.

Oh I can see how that could come off as me being depressed, I'm not I really don't mind being weak and other than that time the wind was so strong that I had to hug a post remain attached to the earth I can't think of any inconveniences to being light, besides most things that require physical strength have workarounds so it doesn't really affect me.

That's good to hear ^^. I sometimes want to be blown away by the wind. I want to know what it feels like. Was it scary?
