Poll: Quick question about "OP".

Oi.
I was just wondering which use of "OP" is correct:
"OP" as in "Opening Post"?
Or as in "Opening Poster"?
Or as in "Oropharyngitis"?
Or are all equally acceptable, depending on context?
Personally, I only use it to indicate the Opening Post but I've seen it used in various ways by others.

original post or original poster is the general unabbriveated version, but you can also make it anything you want.

This, definitely. Simply depends on whether the context insinuates that you're talking about a person or a post.

Also, OP, what is oropharyngitis? Google can't find the actual word, and the closest thing is a disease that affect the back of the mouth, a.k.a sore throat.

It literally means "inflammation of mouth and throat" with no specified etiology.
I just picked the first O...P... word I could think of at random.

OT: Hmmm, so it seems that the general consensus is that it can mean both post and poster.
