I use it all the time. It's basically saving only you don't have to pause your game.

I love quicksaving or more rather the ability to save at any point of the level i hate replaying sections as much as i hate unskippable cutscenes before boss fights some designers need shooting for that.
I never botherd completing Pop.TT because of the chariot race before boss fight

when it's a hard game a quicksave is like a drug, I tried playing ghouls and goblins on an emulator a few days ago and would save every 5 seconds
