I was about 9 years old, took dimetapp. I became incredibly hyper, running around the house for about 15 minutes. I then took a nap, falling asleep almost instantly on the couch of the living room. My parents tried to wake me when I started breathing funny, not knowing that I had just fallen into a coma due to my inability to process the medication. A minute later my heart stopped. My father, who was trained for CPR since he was in the military and whatnot, performed CPR and revived me after being legally dead for about 20-30 seconds.Cavouku said:Cool, what happened? And not asking rudely or sarcastically, interested.Cliff_m85 said:I've died, if that counts. Though I must say I didn't notice anything special about it....or anything at all really.
As I was dying I saw beautiful colors swirling about, very vivid. I would say 'immediately they were gone' but that doesn't even explain what nothingness is. I researched years later what had happened and found that my brain pumped out a chemical to calm me as I lay on the couch dying.
So yeah, no more dimetapp for me.
