I'm sure we've all heard that "People who play video games will never have any money" of something along those lines. I know I have.
So I got to thinking: How many Escapists do have ridiculously large amounts of dosh lying around?

I myself have a very low income.

I'm a middle class, suburban, teenage brat.

My plans to become a Journalist probably don't help me any.

I'm average but slightly above average.

My family spends too much on expansive stuff we end up with little at the end.

As of now I'm broke and unemployed. Go me!

I cant afford most games, I don't have any sort of mobile phone and no cable.

The one place I can shine is my badass computer specs.

Me personally? Nothing really, considering I'm still attending high school and college is far away.

My family? Pushing High Class.

I'm in tenth grade, and my parents are divorced. My father would probably fall under the "kinda poor" part; I sometimes worry about eating too much there so they don't have to pay up for me.

However, my mom is pretty well off, explaining how I have this laptop to tippity type away on.

We've got a rather large disposable income. Nowhere near the level of Mr. Gates or anything, but we're generally pretty well off.

Upper-middle class, pushing upper.

Myself? I've got a nest-egg for a rainy day. But I save quite a bit.

Sorry if I'm coming off as snooty, it isn't my intention. That's actually the reason why I don't really like talking about this sort of thing - gives me the feeling that I'm exhibiting a holier-than-thou attitude. D:

I'm not old enough to have a job yet.

But my family? Shit yeah. I gotta take a picture of my house one of these days.

I'm a student... so I'm not anywhere near close to being rich.

Out of term time, though, I would say I'm average :)

I'm a student, therefore I'm penniless by default.

I do have a few grand in inheritance money and saved wages tucked away in an account though, slowly building interest. But I never use that money, so as far as money I can actually spend goes, I have feck all.

I get student loans/ grants, and I work over the summer, but then all that gets blown on tuition fees, rent, clothes, food, beer and car related costs.

It could be worse though :D

Personally: I managed to save up quite a bit of allowance and birthday/Christmas money (about $1500) over several years, but that's because I don't buy things very often (as in, once or twice a year). As you can guess, I'm a kid, so I can't compete with the adults here.

My family: about middle class. We can eat out pretty damn often and have a nice house, but it's not like we have really fancy cars or anything. Then again, my grandpa can afford to be pretty goddamn generous (he gave me my gaming rig that runs Crysis on high with light stuttering).

I'm personally pretty poor, but my parents are fairly well off...

Although in three years I will graduate into a profession with a starting salary of around 70k so get back to me then...
