A literal nuthouse? Padded rooms and all that?

Or a house made out of a gigantic cashew?

Either way, I like you already. :D

Hell I'm 17 and in highschool. I don't got jack. Though my parents have quite a large amount of income which is how I support this crazy expensive hobby of ours.

I'm currently a postgraduate student, so not very rich at all. I'm looking for a PHD for september, so the money situation is unlikely to change for a few years. Ah well, you don't need much money when your a student.

I'm coming along all right, I would say that I'm wealthier then average, but I'm far from rich. I attribute most of this to my modest lifestyle, and lack of children. Besides gaming, I really have nothing TO spend money on.

I'm sure we've all heard that "People who play video games will never amount to anything" of something along those lines. I know I have.
So I got to thinking: How many Escapists did amount to something?

I myself have a very low income.
Well I personally have no income, although I'm in college right now and plan to have a good income after I graduate. As a computer engineer I hope to amount to something, so at least I can say that I will most likely amount to something, I just havent yet.

I'd suppose average or low-class. Though I've got a meal ticket for not even being twenty yet. I'm native american and my tribe has a casino. Tribal Distributions pretty much fund my living and gaming. Though I would like to get a job sometime, I'm not in a hurry at the moment til after i move out of my current apartment.

Quite Poor, unlike most PC users, I don't have my own (family's) let alone a powerful one. I plan on moving out regardless of my financial situation soon though for personal reasons.

No padded rooms, but I do have a plastic matress, a camera in my room with a live feed to the nurses' station, and a set bedtime of 11PM, and am not allowed off the hospital grounds. Been in hospital since December.

Yay, I'm liked!

Personally, I have quite a lot of money - I've had a part time for job for about 3 and a half years, and as a result I've saved up quite a lot of money. My bank account has been pretty stagnant for the last year or so, but it's still quite "healthy", so to speak. I don't have to pay for school, so all my money goes towards either food or entertainment, and even then I don't spend that much.

For my family, I'd say we're upper-middle class. We live in one of the most expensive areas in our city (which just happens to be one of the most expensive cities in the world), but the bills for our house are pretty high, so we don't have that much disposable income (at least not as much as my mom would like). Regardless, we still do pretty damn well.

Edit: Oh, and I live at home. Yeah, I've got it pretty easy.

Since I'm only 16 I still live with my parents. But i like to consider my family pretty well off but we are no where near rich. I have to buy everything i want with my own money though

My entire family is dirt poor.

I love not being able to certain meals due to lack of money.

My family, they're about average, enough to get by at least.

Me: I have a fiver left in my wallet, I really need to start saving for escapism.
