Even in V did lose the fight, he bombed Big Ben, not to mention the guy arms explosives on just about everything, and you can't put a price on that amount of bad-assery.

As much as I loved Rorschach and his insanity, I would have to credit this fight to V.

Aren't V's fighting abilities considered to be near the very limits of human- nay, near-superhuman? Both fight with whatever available, but I believe that V would also take preparation time more seriously and take with him a myriad of short- and long-range weapons.

If Rorschach jumped V on home territory, then Rorschach would probably kill V's current incarnation. But like was said before, you cannot kill V because he is an idea. The next one would probably come back with vegeance and a kick-ass speech. But Rorschach might be overpowered by V in the sewers of london, seeing as V lives there.

You can't beat V because he's not a person, he's an idea. Even if Rorschach tore his head off and removed his mask, there would just be another guy wearing a Guy Fawke's mask proclaiming to the world that V lives on. That's the beauty of it.

That's more of a winning the battle vs winning the war problem. If you tear off the other guy's head you've won the fight.

But V is just an idea - for all his philosophising and anti-social-ness, Rorschach is still just a man.

Plus V seems to be about as fast as Ozymandias - dodging bullets and all that - and we all know how Ozymandias vs Rorschach goes.

Oh, and V would probably end up blowing everything to hell anyway. Hey, if it works for him...

It worked for America.
