I used to do a lot of such roleplay with my ex-girlfriend. She did a lot of rp's online, so doing it in IRL seemed a fairly natural step, but of course, the rp's we did became a bit more sexual. But these rp's were pretty unusual in a sexual way, because my ex had a fetish for embarrassing haircuts, i would rp with her pretending to cut and shave her hair off. It never turned me on personally, but it really turned her on so it worked well for me. We had lots of fun doing those rp's

I'd recommend fetish-related rp's to any couple getting bored of vanilla missionary sex

I've tried it, but the dice just don't roll well on the mattress. Plus I totally rolled a crit once, so my wife had to climax (according to the rules), but she didn't. So cheating is clearly an issue.

Me and my ex used to do it a lot. Nothing too outlandish, just the "normal" stuff (teacher/student etc.). It's pretty fun to do every once in a while.

Yes, but are they designed not to get on the holder's hands? The cheapo-walmart ones produce plenty of wax, but the issue is keeping the wax falling on my partner's back rather than, say, my hand that's holding the candle.

That's why you use a rolling box or the nightstand.

Edit: Oh, and remember, a nat 20 isn't an automatic success on Skill checks. If your skill was too low, even with a nat 20, then that's something you need to work on when you level up. ^^

Also, shouldn't the paladin and the half-elf mage switch items? That holy avenger would be way more useful to the paladin.

Me and my fiancée have a healthy helping of RPing in our regular bedroom activities. Doesn't happen every time though, but sometimes during the weekends I get lucky. It's mostly "the usual stuff"(as usual as Sexy Rping goes). Stuff like doctor/patient, postman/naked package recipient, neighbours etc, etc. One time though, we actually "borrowed" two haz-mat suits from the chemistry lab at her school and had some fun. Sure hope they wash the suits from time to time, but I have yet to feel any adverse effects.
But as with most things, the best has yet to come. My fiancée actually promised me that I could submerge her into a bathtub of icy water on my birthday this year. Yay!

*grin* Absolutely. That and D/s are kind of ... my thing. I have a penchant for creating very complicated and utterly glorious worlds, usually outside of any formal framework (as in, not from D&D, or anything like that) and getting someone who really wants to play along with me is one of the true joys of my life. I can't really over-exaggerate how much I love it. I wouldn't want my sex life to consist only of that, no way, nor my relationship with someone (I've done that before. It ended badly.) But ... there's something magical about co-creation. I'm sure a lot of RPers will know exactly what I mean. As well as the escapism, it's amazing how well you can get to know someone by keeping that sort of thing up for a sustained period of time. It's like writing a story with someone else, except sometimes you're acting out the story and sometimes it gets ... well, racy

But for me, the story and the characters always come first - I'm a storyteller at heart. The sexual side of it is an added bonus, and yes sometimes it is OK to have characters acting a little OOC just to see what would happen if so-and-so and so-and-so hooked up, but that's as far as it goes. The whole, 'I'll be a nurse and you be my patient' or whatever, just for the purpose of this sexual RP, leaves me totally cold. However, from my experience the sort of person who actually has the enthusiasm I do about these things is a very rare gem.

And, well, yeah, you get the point. I've fleshed that one out a lot more thoroughly before, though sadly not in practice, but I'll spare you guys. Safe to say that it includes more than just costumes. But yeah, roleplay sounds hot as hell. Not too often of course, it has to stay special.
