Poll: rushers or campers

I don't really mind either. Both are perfectly legitimate playing tactics. Most people hate a particular playing style because they're getting repeatedly killed by them.

I rush myself, but I don't use Akimbo.

In MW2 I tried making a running class but I might as well have charged towards enemies shouting "FREEE KILLL!!!!!" So now I hang back and try to be more tactical

In Halo 3 which I used to play a lot, I was more of a rusher but thats mostly because it is impossible to camp in Halo unless you have God's own hand-eye coordination. I also rushed in WaW which led to perhaps some of the worst multiplayer performances in history.

Rushers. Although I don't exactly hate them. I just avoid them by not playing online shooters anymore.

Rushers. Campers are fine, and I camp myself, usually because I prefer to take a cautious or sniping role in FPSs. But rushers? On any FPS they just charge in and don't bother playing by any tactics, which makes them easier to kill, but it infuriates me that people are so stupid. Also, when my teammates rush, they die and I'm left on my own in the middle of hostile territory on the battlefield. And in any RTS, rushers are people who literally create a massive army in the first minute or so (usually with cheats) and then Zerg Rush you when you're still building a solid defence. Something that in a real life situation no commander would try because it would be suicide. And then the game ends with you losing in a few minutes before you get the chance to actually play a decent game, and you leave without having any sort of fun.

Sorry to rant like that. But yeah, I hate rushers the most.

Rushers, i've never been killed by one, but, seriously, running 100m in front of everyone else on your team is not a good idea.

Vote one for Camper and one less for Rushers.

I just don't see why the hell anyone would want to camp. It takes very little skill...how can anyone feel as if they got a genuine kill if they were sitting in a corner with a shotgun?

A good camper will have placed himself so that he cant be snuck up on or killed....

Its the worst thing ever to be against a team of campers.
And just to make sure everyone knows....Its not camping if you are using a sniper!

Campers. I hate them. They are the cowards that sit in corners on stairs and wait for easy targets. At least rushers take the fight to you. Campers are usualy easy to deal with the real thing that pisses me off about them is when one of them was once on my team in MW2 and he was camping in a building that no one went to. the match ended I had something like 40ish kills and he had 2. No deaths though but he still pissed me off.

on small matches i.e large maps with 6 or less players I will often get a sniper rifle and do some sneaky run around and generally annoy the enemt to hell, in larger matches I mainly go for an mp5 or similar and do a sneaky run around annoying the enemy

basically, I am pretty good either way

Campers disgust me, but can be outdone quite easily by checking your corners and likely spots every room you enter. You also have the reaction time advantage over them because they have been sitting idly. This reaction time is why I hate to camp.

Well neither I suppose.

I camp myself so other campers don't threaten me, and without people rushing me I wouldn't get half as many kills.

Just what i wanted to say. Too bad i was over an hour late.

Anyways, yeah, i camp a lot, bot only with a sniper. And when i see someone with a close-ranged weapon running from a far place, i take a shot. Also, i really get a kick out of sniper vs sniper battles, don't really know why, but the waiting and tension give me a bit of an adrenalin rush, i guess.

campers are easy to find once they kill you once. Rushers are no worse then regular people with guns.

This! And once everyone realizes this and stops being whiny babies about both techniques because they don't know how to deal with them, the world will be a brighter place.

Rushing is a more legitimate strategy, because it puts you more in danger. Requires more skill one might say. A camper just has to sit there biding his time, until somebody falls into his web of death.

well, since I rush(I guess you could call it that anyway) I find campers really bad, even if I don't rush they're annoying.
