Masochist. I would never be able to injure someone I like, even if they wanted me to. If she wants to wail on me, fine... to a point. No scars, and NO NEEDLES.

This pretty much sums up my feelings nicely. I don't mind getting slapped around and whatnot, but nothing permanent, no fire, melted wax, knives, needles, and things of that nature. I don't mind bleeding from a cut lip or something, but other than that, I'd like all my blood to remain inside of me, where it belongs. I also don't like being tied up or blindfolded. Something about those makes my survival instincts kick in and I might actually hurt someone by accident. XD

As a Sadist voreaphile I'd have to say they share a few features but are fundamentaly different, though they do both involve one giving themselves over completley.

This thread is boring, I've not seen one explicit description in the bunch and the replies of the so-called sadists makes me think there's not a one who knows their way around a flogger.

I'd say more on my disapproval, escapist, but I can't really say anything through this gag. Hell, typing with my toes is killer, especially with the restraints tied above my head this tight, but I make the effort. When I get blindfolded in a second and my special lady starts to redden my ass, I'll keep on typing.

I take issue with that. There isn't a 'normal' when it comes to sexuality. I am assuming you mean in the realm of sexuality. My tastes for doing all kinds of wonderful things to a partner who thoroughly enjoys them is normal for me. It might be entirely alien to someone else, but that's irrelevant. A taste for BDSM is no more abnormal or normal than liking red hair or particularly muscular and shapely backsides.

This kind of bothers me. I'm not certain that there's a mental disorder regarding the sexualization of pain, unless you want to talk about sociopaths, but I don't think that they really derive pleasure from what they do so much as they simply don't care that they hurt other people. Perhaps you should actually look up what constitutes a disorder, because then I think that you'd see that BDSM isn't a disorder unless you take it to extremes, and by that, I don't mean it just gets kinkier.

I'm sure that we all have at least a touch of one or the other in us, but most of us probably fall right in the middle. Anyway, answer the poll and explain why you think you're that way.
