I have recently purchased a 360 and am in the mood for something sandboxey. I do not like GTA and its clones as I always feel guilty being bad no matter what I do. What should I buy?

Don't buy a sandbox, Swingsets are the new rage.
See? Look how happy this kid is:
And Prototype. Or Saints Row 2. Trust me, a guy on the internet, they're both great. Would I lie to you?

You won't feel bad about your actions in the FUZZ minigame (SR2) as you'll be too busy laughing your ass off.

Infamous is pure genius in terms of sandbox, it takes the term and extends it until you cant see the whole word anymore.
I mean for god sakes you have so many nooks and crannys in the city you can go to on all three islands.

Holy shit I think the strength of that irony almost gave me a heart attack.

I preferred Prototype to Crackdown personally, but I played Crackdown for the 360 and Prototype for the PC. Prototype on the 360 might have subtle differences I'm not aware of.

Or you could just flip a coin, check metacritic to see which got higher scores and buy that.

InFamous is also PS3 exclusive last time I checked. Reading the first post is all the rage these days. You should try it.

Well if you feel guilty being bad in GTA4, I've gotta say Prototype isn't exactly a simulator for being nice.

EDIT: God damnit I said it second.

Saints Row 2.
And then Prototype. Spent 50 hours and 13 hours on each one respectively, still just free-playing some Prototype.

...Definitely not Prototype?
I mean, not only do you basically have to act like a dick, your character is a dick.
Hell, everyone is a dick.

Prototype is all about the jerks.
You'll find more jerks in Prototype than whores in a middle school.
I was about to point out that Prototype involves the mass murder of innocent civilians that would cause any Grand Theft Auto protagonist to shit themselves in fear before being impaled by a whipfist and subsequently torn in half then have his body crushed under a thrown car. But you basically already pointed that out.

On the subject of prototype making me feel like a bad person I find games where your actions are evil but have no grounding in reality like overlord enjoyable without the guilt.

Crackdown or Saints Row 2. I find both of them have replayability that far outlasts prototype. Though that is just my opinion.

I'd suggest SR2 as well, but if you feel bad no matter what you do, then you probably won't enjoy throwing homeless people through their shanties or lighting pirates and ninjas on fire with a flamethrower in the "Battle of the Century."

(psst, buy this game now)

If you feel guilty for being bad...well sandbox-type games may not be for you. As often the most fun you'll get out of them involves many things dieing or exploding, quite likely both at the same time. In any case...well damn I can't think of any good 360 sandboxes...Gmod for pc runs on a pretty average pc though, you might want to consider it.

First, put all of you prejudices of GTA clones aside. Now, Saints Row 2 is the best sandbox game on the 360. GTA clones have a problem, and that's seriousness. SR2 is an unrelenting explosion of needless death and destruction, police brutality, comedy, ridiculous situations, and overall FUN.

Buy it. Now. [/repeats statements]
