Okay I wanted to know if anyone on the escapist has tried selling their systems, not to gamestop or anything like that, but to a real person that wants to haggle you and get money out of you.

What are some of your stories?

I'll go first, I'm selling my like new PS3 with 5 games for 475$ whereas you would pay 600 for the same at Gamestop.

I have never sold any system, because I love them all too much.

EDIT: Also, there is only a "Yes" option in your poll. You should fix that.

EDIT 2: And it's fixed.

The only system I ever sold was my gamecube to my neighbors, because I was going to get a Wii. I got $50. Exciting, right?

I could never sell one of my old systems.

Also they come in handy if your current one breaks....

*looks at spot were the Ps3 should be*

*sees Ps1*

*sigh*

I hate selling things. Don't usually get your money back :( I also have an emotional attachment to my older systems.

I've never had a reason to get rid of any of mine, unless they were broken. I still occasionally play games on all my old systems. Wouldn't sell them unless I was desperately desperate for money.

Sold an old piece-of-crap phone for £50 once, though. Ka-ching!

Nah, I don't have many old things that are actually able to be sold because I use them to death. My original Xbox is totally dead. My PS2 might go up for sale because I rarely use it, and my N64 has Ocarina of Time on it, and is therefore exempt from all sales and worshipped as a god in my free time. It's also a living reminder that older things last longer, my Xbox died at age 4, this N64 is still working like a charm and is 12 years old.

My mom sold my N64, SNES, PS2 and Game Boy Color. It was a sad day.

I managed to rescue my NES, though, which she will never, ever lay her grubby arms on!

And she took all the money.

I'm planning to buy another SNES, however.

I considered selling my old xbox at one point when I got my 360, but I realized that perhaps thousands of hours worth of gameplay had been saved on that old machine, and I had so many memories with it I could never sell it.

Well, by systems, I thought that low-end PCs also go in here. Well, I just sold my Pentium 4, 2,99GHZ, 1Gb RAM, GeForce 6600GTX for 1200 Krones! Which is basically 120 USD. Bargain, but worth it.

Yowch! Why did she do that?

But I've never sold a console, and I'm not planning to for the forseeable future.
